IMC Collection of eBooks

The WTHS IMC has been expanding their collection of resources in a variety of formats by adding more eBooks to their collection. An eBook is a digital or electronic version of a conventional printed book. They are full-text, searchable and often contain an electronic table of contents and index for ease of navigation. EBooks are either accessible by multiple users simultaneously or they are limited to and must be downloaded by an individual user. Gale Virtual Reference Library, History Reference Center and Cambridge Collections Online all contain eBooks that allow an unlimited number of users. Follett eBooks and eBooks downloaded through OverDrive are limited to one use at a time. The eBooks in the IMC’s collection are accessible from either the online catalog Web Collection Plus or through a variety of databases where they are stored on the topic list of databases. Web Collection Plus When searching Web Collection Plus eBooks can be identified by the symbol that will accompany the call number and title information on the list of results. After clicking into the title of an eBook, most will contain a link for electronic access to the full-text of the book.
