Free mail magazine from www.ityoga.com: 1st Issue ‘Happy Indian Independence Day’ Dear friends, We are happy in trying this ‘Free mail magazine’; it is new, stepped up from trail to real. It is in the stage of a toddler, so please bear with us & support our cause. We are a group of doctors & research scientists in the area of stress management and unfortunately to greater extent ‘Computer Illiterates’. So this teething problem in our website (www.ityoga.com) too. This occasion of Indian Independence, let us celebrate, ‘Jai Hind’. Now I shall enter my area of expertise or to put it humbly, relevance- ‘Health’. ‘Independence’, truly a mesmerizing word & it brings out exuberance from the bottom of our hearts also from the core of our soul. As per us, independence for a human is health. W.H.O says that the absence of disease by itself is not health, it is the wellbeing of body, mind & soul in physical, mental, psychological & spiritual well being is health & that we doctors of ‘Mitran’ consider as total in dependence. In today’s world the menace for our health is to greater extent ‘Stress’. Are we equipped or are we trying to equip is the real question we must be asking, if we are really concerned about the independence, to be ever lasting. ‘Who am I!?’ Is a great question to begin with; since time immemorial Indian philosophy’s seed was always this question & for which the answers flowed through saints, which are called Veda & Upanishad. The modern day saints like Ramana, Kanchi Mahamuni, Babaji; all pondered over the same & showered their realization to society. This is a strong base for self analysis & realization. Our Mitran tries to kindle the ‘who am I’ in you with this small self analysis observation. Read it, analyze it, ponder over it & you may find yourself or minimum the priority in life for your self. This changed our life for ever to betterment & We Mitran, pray for you all the same. Mitran foundation wishes you all Who am I? If you are 30 then you are left with just 12 years to really live!? This portrayal may sound as some Utopian ideals. It is not so. All that I mention here are possible, practical, and applicable to our life with little effort from us. We just have to give some time to understand this. I wish to share an example blessed to us by our Master, drops of Vedantic nectar & it changed few of our life for ever, who knows what may happen in you? None are aware about our past birth (Janma in Sanskrit language) even if we believe in it. We can not be sure of any thing in our next life. About this present life, we know what we are and what we should be able to do. Do we know the (real) time we have got to live our life? A simple arithmetic on life, Let us believe we are going to live 100 years, both biologically & as per Veda too, it is possible. For instance, real life of our choice may be possible only till we are 90, then dependence becomes inevitable, so we are left with 90 full years only. Assuming we are 30 years old, the life left for us is 60 (90-30) only. Of the 60 years left, we are going to spend sleeping 20 years (8 hours is one third of a day so 20 years of sleeping) we have 40 full years to live. On the earning our bread & butter, the career, we spend 8 hours a day in office. (I know you are smiling! Is it 8 hours only?) We spend 20 years in it. If we are 30, of the 60 years of life, we are left with 20 years of life to live. A reminder: if we survive 100, if we are 30, our chance to live life is 20. We may spend time in routine things like brushing, toilet, news paper, bathing, having breakfast - lunch – dinner, commuting for job etc. It may be 3 hours a day. 1/8th of our day is spent, so 1/8th of our life, that is approximately 8 years. So we are left with 12 years to live our life. (I am very considerate in calculation, if you are above 50 forget my calculation or take it very seriously & change the life for better.) Summarizing all, if we are 30, out of 60 years of real life left, we are left with just 12 golden years to live our life. Is it worth even a day going to bed thinking, today is a wasted one? Every day need not be achievements but deserves satisfaction & contentment. This is where our sharing of knowledge ends & your self- analysis begins! * * {Mitran foundation’s up coming programs & more} * * ** Mitran foundation is organizing a ‘Retreat on Stress Management’ at Thiruvannamalai, Tamilnadu, on 16th & 17th of August by Dr.Dwarakanath in a scenic resort of international standard. . . more info see www.ityoga.com or this link- http://www.ityoga.com/event.html.
