Danny Bonaduce Returns To Philadelphia Mornings On 94WYSP
PHILADELPHIA – November 5, 2008 – Broomall native Danny Bonaduce returns
home to anchor mornings on 94WYSP beginning on Monday, November 10 (weekdays,
6:00-10:00AM) on air and online at www.94wysp.com. THE DANNY BONADUCE
SHOW will broadcast from WYSP’s 400 Market Street studios. Bonaduce is a nationally
recognized television and radio personality who also hosts a program on KLSX-FM in
Los Angeles from 2:00-3:00PM, PT.
"I couldn't be more thrilled at the prospect of moving home,” Bonaduce said of today’s
announcement. “This is my real home, where I was born. As a traveling disc jockey,
you often have to pretend that you've been rooting for the teams of what ever town
you're working. I can't tell you how difficult that was when I worked in Detroit. Detroit
doesn't even root for Detroit. Go Eagles."
WYSP Vice President and General Manager Jim Loftus said, “We're absolutely thrilled to
bring Danny home. Morning radio in Philadelphia will never be the same again.”
Operations Manager Andy Bloom added, “We looked nationwide and found a
Philadelphia native, with a proven ratings history, who just happens to be an American
icon. In getting to know Danny I've found the hardest working man in show business
and somebody just as competitive as the rest of us at the station. I think I’ve seen this
movie before.”
Bonaduce has spent a lifetime in show business. His radio career began in Philadelphia
and brought him to Chicago, Detroit, New York and Los Angeles. Bonaduce starred in
the series The Partridge Family, and his other television credits include Eight is Enough,
That 70’s Show, The Drew Carey Show, as well as his self-produced and critically
acclaimed reality series, Breaking Bonaduce, and the game show, I Know My Kid’s A
Star. He can currently be seen on the CMT program Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity
Championship Wrestling.
Bonaduce will be joined in studio by Shila and Metro each morning. Shila is a
Scranton/Wilkes Barre native and joins WYSP having worked most recently at WKRK in
Detroit on the highly rated Motor City Middays program. Metro has been with WYSP
since 2005 and will also serve as Producer of THE DANNY BONADUCE SHOW.
94WYSP will continue to bring Philadelphia listeners the rock they grew up with
throughout the day. The station is also the flagship station of the Philadelphia Eagles.
