Supply and use tables 2008, SNI2007

Introduction
The following supply and use tables for 2008, in Nace Rev. 2/CPA 2008, have been produced as an
integrated part of the National Accounts (NA), published September 20th 2010. The Swedish NA are
adapted to the European System of National Accounts (ESA95) and fully consistent with the worldwide

Since 1988 the calculations of the yearly national accounts have been carried out in a supply and use
framework. Calculations are carried out in current and constant prices (t-1=100). The published tables are
in current prices. Tables in constant prices for the year 2008, in Nace Rev. 2, are available upon request.
The level of detail in the tables is 61 industries and 59 products, classified according to NACE Rev. 2 and

CPA 2008 .
Change in classification
Since September 20th 2011 and onward, the Swedish National Accounts are published according to NACE
Rev.2. The following supply and use tables are hence the first ones published according to the new
classification. Earlier published tables are based on NACE Rev.1.1, and are therefore not fully comparable
The change in classification from NACE Rev 1.1. to NACE Rev 2. implies a significant change in allocation
between different industries and products. Compared with the earlier classification, the service
industries/products have become more disaggregated at the expense of the manufacturing industry. The

Supply tables
Sheet labeled SUP08 contain the supply table for 2008, in current prices. These tables are so-called
primary tables, and are an integrated part of the yearly calculations of the national accounts. Total

Sheet labeled USE08 contain the use table for 2008, in current prices. These are also primary tables, and
are an integrated part of the yearly calculations of the national accounts. Total economy.
The discrepancy between estimated and received taxes on products is added to the total value of
Operating surplus (net and gross) in column 69. Therefore the total of Operating surplus does not equal
the sum of industries. Nor does the total value of Gross fixed capital formation in column 69 equal the sum
of industries. The unallocated value of Gross fixed capital formation of buildings and structures financed

Due to confidentiality reasons we are not able to present products 20 and 21, 52 and 53 as well as, 71 and
72 separately. Both in columns and rows these products are presented within product aggregates 20, 52
and 71. Nor are we able to present products 45, 46 and 47 separately. These products are presented

We are also using an invoiced based approach for exports and imports and are therefore no longer

to present the consumption of fixed capital according to the NACE Rev.2. classification. Due to this the
values concerning the consumption of fixed capital and operating surplus, net are missing in the tables.
