Research Project: The Fire’s Still Burning Part I: Going Back in Time A. Each student will receive ONE line from the song that they must research. B. Students will get into groups by stanza C. Each student will create Powerpoint slides for his/her line D. Each group will present their Powerpoint to the class Powerpoint Requirements: 1. Each item in line must have its own slide 2. Each slide must include the following: a. Title (as in song) b. Picture/Graphic c. Year or date range d. Short summary paragraph OR five facts 3. Extra slides or extra effects may be included for additional credit, but may not take the place of required items 4. Each presentation must include a bibliography Part II: Back to the Future A. Students will choose a partner B. Each pair will receive a year (1990-2006) to research C. Students will write verses to a song, in the style of “We Didn’t Start the Fire” D. Students will present the songs to the class live or via recording E. Students must also turn in an outline of items covered, including summary paragraph OR 5 facts Verse Requirements: 1. Verse(s) must include at least 25 items 2. You must include all required items listed below 3. You may include up to 10 of the limited items listed below 4. Each presentation must include a bibliography
