                                Activities

1.   Make a list of items you have brought for show and tell.

2.   Draw a picture of a Kente cloth you would wear, include the
     colors.

3.   Draw and label what you would bring to show and tell.

4.   Write a story your grandmother has told you.




                               Introductions

1.   Show the students a Kente cloth or one that resembles it. If
     not ask the students if they know what a Kente cloth is.
     Then show them a picture of a cloth. Today we are going
     to read about a Kente cloth that a girl brings for show and
     tell.

2.   Ask the children what they would bring in for show and tell.
     Then tell them today we are going to read about Kenya and
     her show and tell project.

3.   Show the front of the book. Ask the students what they
     think the story is about. Then tell them it’s about a girl
     names Kenya and her show and tell project.
