THE SPREAD OF NATIONALISM
1800 - 1914
For this unit you will be required to work in groups of three. Each group will be given an aspect
of nationalism to research. Upon the conclusion of your research your group will prepare a
Power Point presentation for the class. The presentation must include the following pieces:
1. 1. An outline (notes) in your own words that covers the questions
completely.
2. 2. Graphics – pictures, photographs, maps, timelines, etc.
3. 3. At least one primary source document or part of a document. This
document should not be too lengthy. At the end of the document you must
prepare at least three questions to be answered by your classmates.
4. 4. Test questions. Prepare four multiple - choice questions, with
challenging choices, based on your outline. These questions (some or all) will
become part of the unit test. An essay question . Make it a good one. It could be
a short DBQ or a thematic essay. Your essay may be chosen as the test essay.
