The Commissioner,
Municipal Corporation of Delhi,
Town Hall, Chandni Chowk,
Delhi-110006,
Sub: - MCD Primary School IInd shift, C Block, Jahangir Puri denies students to
take examination
Dear Sir,
We have the honour to bring to your kind notice the fact that despite existence of
Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009, the MCD Primary
Schools all over Delhi are refusing the students to take examination on the alleged ground
of short attendance.
As a matter of illustration, the MCD Primary School, IInd shift, C Block, Jahangir
Puri, Delhi-110033 has refused large number of students of different classes to take
annual examination undergoing now-a-days. I have received a written complaint from
Social Jurist Coordinator Ms. Poornima Saxena detailing the names and classes of the
students to whom the school has refused to allow them to take examination. The
complaint also states the rude behavior on the part of the Principal of the school Shri
Satyanarayan Sharma towards the Social Jurist Coordinator as well as to the parents. The
complaint is self-explanatory and needs to be looked into by you.
It is totally unjust and illegal on the part of the HOS to turn away the students
who have come to the school to appear in the examination on the alleged ground of short
attendance. It is unfortunate that the school authorities are insensitive to the educational
needs of the student.
Kindly look into this matter and do the needful.
With regards,
Ashok Agarwal
Advisor, Social Jurist
