Set C
Throw / Middle Kick Continual Attack Al Snow's Taunt
A+B B+X A+X
Strategy:
Al Snow is a nice and balanced character but he is a bit sluggish. To make up for that slug-like quality he
has a couple of powerful normal attacks, including a guillutine leg drop on any opponent on the mat. While
playing with ol'Al, keep in mind that he may be getting reversed quite frequently, especially against the
'speedier' character. Sadly, Al's strength isn't enough to win in a situation where you trade blows. Learn to
counter with the "X" button if you want to play with Al.
A nice setup for Al is to start off his Combo 4 + Grogg Blow to grogg the opponent and do any of his
double team attacks. Al's Spear running attack is also a very nice setup to use for a Super Guillorine
Drop; in fact, if you have full supers, drop two of these babies and finish them off with the Snow Plow -
their life will plummet very quickly.
In a Royal Rumble scenario, Al Snow should rely heavily on finshing off any opponents that are on the
rope due to another character. Since his combo is a bit slow, his chances of not getting countered during
a chain to get someone out are slim. Use Clotheslines and other running attacks as much as you can.
You can also try to start your combo a bit early and try to hit the opponent with the last combo attack.

A+B B+X A+X
Strategy:
"Well it's the Big Slow...." and that's about it. However, trading blows with him will be a costly mistake as
well as underestimating his dodging skills. While not the quickest of the bunch the Big Show makes up
for it in raw power. He also has some pretty strong mat moves as well as grapples. His combos will
almost always be countered due to their slow speed and near-predictability. Learn to get your hands on
an opponent and not let go. The stamina and defense of the Big Show is very good and should be ex-
ploited.
In a multiplayer game, use the Big Show's overwhelming strength with his Shoulder Breaker to knock
them to the ropes and then use one of your combos, a stun blow, or another Shoulder Breaker to knock
them over the ropes easily. Try to stay close to the center of the ring and counter as much as possible.
With perseverance and quick response speed you'll prove that even slow guys can win at a fast-paced
match!

Set C
Doulbe Punch Drop Kick / Rolling Clutch Jericho's Taunt
A+B B+X A+X
Strategy:
"RAW - IS - JERICHO!!!" may prove to be your victory cry. With a ton of speed, strength (but not the
strongest!), and multi-pin attacks Jericho will quickly become a favorite in Royal Rumble. He has some
very quick combos that you can use to easily knock your opponent down (just don't use it as a setup for
the Walls of Jericho!) and his Grogg Combo leaves you where you need to be; however, the Grogg
Combo finisher has a bit of a 'slow' recovery time that your opponent can use to recover.
While his strengh is definately 'above average' in some points he still has some lightweight - middle-
weight grapple moves that don't do that much damage, such as the Front-Face DDT. Stick to his stronger
DDT (the DDT can be countered!) and Knee Lift Combo to both annoy and cause damage. Don't forget
just how easy it is to stun opponens in this game, especially since his defense isn't the best (but not the
worst either!).
In multiplayer games take advange of his strength and speed to the max! Run around and nail people
close to the ropes or use a combo to get them tied up to the ropes and just get them out. Try to avoid
getting nailed too much though or it's going to be tough getting back into the ring. Learn to read your
opponent's attacks and counter them with your own. Avoid Jericho's from-behind grogg and stun moves
since they are pin attacks and as such weak and useless in a royal rumble (unless it's 4 player exhibi-
tion!)

Strategy:
D'Lo is fast - pretty fast and I'd see close to or faster than X-Pac. He hows powerful moves but his
strength, endurance, or defense is there to match them. Basically, just stick-and-move, especially against
the larger guys who would win in a traded blows situation.
In multilpayer use his quick speed and Running Clothesline to knock people out. Mix it up with some
combo action and you'll get your Royal Rumble crown quick - D'Lo Style!

Set C
Drop Kick / Rolling Clutch On All Fours and Spear Edge's Taunt
A+B B+X A+X
Strategy:
Just like D'Lo, Edge has a lot of powerful moves but no real strength to back them up. His defense is a bit
lower than D'Lo but hs stamina and recovery are pretty good. Concentrate on hit-and-run attacks and
make sure you always have the mat advantage. Edge is also quick to climb a turnbuckle so don't be shy
if someone is near the corner and you're climbing - chances are you'll reach the top and execute a move
before you get taken down. Pick powerful people like Rikishi or The Rock to be your parteners in order to
provide that missing strength.
Multiplayer situations can be both wonderful and horrible for Edge. Whle his speed and running attacks
will help greatly in taking out other characters, his lack of defense will sometimes make him an easy
target. If you get knocked out and are holding onto the ropes, keep smashing the buttons and you'll be up.

One-on-one isn't either Jeff or Matt's strong points. However, when paired up with the right person their
speed and durability with the second character assists as annoying as a gnat. Their turnbuckle attacks
are very powerful, however, so whenever you have a chance to do it take it.
In multiplayer games, Jeff's distinct strength advantage over Matt will come in handy. Sadly, this won't
matter when dealing with huge beasts like Big Show and Rikishi but your speed will help. Keep away
from arm's reach and you should be fine.

One of the reigning powerhouses, Kane has an unsually higher speed with his Combo 1 and good reach
with his Combo 4 + Stun Blow. His standard moving speed is slow but he has good running speed as
well as powerful running attacks. His defense is up there and his recovery is second only to the Under-
taker.
In multiplayer situations, Kane's slow standard speed makes him very sluggish and prone to get grappled
so coutner often. Chokeslam as often as you can to wear down enemies and then whip'em out or combo
them out.

can play defensively or offensively with Kurt and his Combo attacks are also decent. It's all up to you.
You can also play either defensively or offensively during a multiplayer game with little or no change of
strategy except knowing to stay away from any groups of opponents ;o)

Strategy:
You want defense and recovery? This is the man! While he isn't as strong as some of the other members
of his weight class Mankind can surely put the hurt when the opponent is on the ground and has very
quick and nice combos. His Super Running Punch is excellent as well as his Manhattan Drop.
In multiplayer games, Mankind's Super Running Punch is a great way to get rid of unwanted pests and to
tie opponents up in the ropes. His Combo 4 is also pretty quick and hard to counter. Watch your back and
you'll win it.

Strategy:
My personal favorite, Rikishi can dance AND kick butt in an orderly fashion. Almost as strong as Kane,
Big Show, or Undertaker but definately faster and with better Combo speed - except for the last hit. He's
a bit slow on the turnbuckle but once you get even part of the animation going for the Butt Drop he's a bit
invincible - take advantage of that.
In multiplayer scenarios Rikishi can throw people out with any of his running attacks or his combos. Just
keep an eye out for counters; other people aren't too much of a hassle due to the damage that Rikishi
can take.

Strong and speedy is a good way to describe Jesse James. However, his defense is sorely lacking and
can get his butt kicked very quickly. Stick and move with the man of the southpaw and take your opponent
out with patience and tact.
In multiplayer mode, Jesse James can easily fall prey to the stronger enemies. Keep him away from the
ropes and use your Stun when you wanna push someone closer to the ropes. Keep away from danger
and this DX will have the gold.

Shane-O-Matic is pretty quick but weak and a bit of a physical pansy. He's kinda fun to play with but not
someone I'd really take seriously. However, his Corporate Elbow is fairly strong and can deal some pain
so don't underestimate him. If you take time to learn how to play around his weaknesses you will be
pleased with the end results.
In multiplayer games Shane is at a huge disadvange. His only saving grace is, once again, that corporate
elbow of his.Use it and the Running Elbow to knock people into the ring ropes and then out with the
combo.

Strategy:
As close as pure average as one can get with a small burst of speed, Stone Cold lives up to the rattle-
snake that he uses as his logo to strike fast, kick butt, and go home. His combos are perhaps the hardest
to counter due to their speed and his grapple moves are as speedy. However, he can be countered while
he's in grapple due to the setup time some of his grapple take.
Multiplayer means you can be as vicious as you want to be. Punch, kick, use your Clothelines and stuns.
Just do whatever it takes to get people out.

Fast and strong and all that good stuff i've already said...ROFL. The Rock stays true to his form in this
game with fast attacks and an awesome set of moves. However, his Combo 4 + Grogg Blow can be
countered easily and his ground moves (except for the People's Elbow) aren't that strong. Keep'em on
their toes and use your Special on the ground.
Multiplayer you have to take it easy with Rock. While he is awesome his defense falls a bit low but his
recovery time is good. Avoid using his Combo 4 + Grogg Blow and stick to the basics of throwing people
out with your foot.

Nice and strong and fast. Triple H is perhaps the game's best all-around heel in terms of mean and
attributes. He can mow down people quickly with his attacks and his combos are normal. Supplement
your skills with a good pick in partners, like Mankind who has a pin interrupt. Some of his normal
grapples are weak, like the Arm Twist, but these are simple things to work around.
In multiplayer mode Triple H's average speed means he can basically move around freely as long as he
stays away from the ropes. Don't overuse the Running Jumping Knee Attack because he'll be hit when he
misses or is blocked. For some odd reason, when I used 3H, I found myself getting continually
attacked...LOL so -just- in case keep a huge eye out on your opponents.

Strategy:
Compard to the younger Shane, Vinnie is actually pretty decent. You may want to consider playing him
like Stone Cold since the two are extremely similiar, even in moves.

A+B B+X A+X
Strategy:
Fast, fast, FAST! This kid is fast! Too bad he's not strong or else he'd be a vicious character! X-Pac likes
to play tag-and-run but with more speed. Sadly, his lack of power makes his attacks hit like a gnat bite.
Concentrate on using your stun and grogg moves in order to buy an extra hit or two. He's quick up the
turnbuckle and his Stun/Groggy "A" attacks are pretty good.
In multiplayer mode, X-Pac's only hope is to run to stay alive. Don't let him get caught or hit - and don't
worry if you have to continue. Use your combos and run attacks to knock the bigger guys out; wear them
down first if you have to.
