Part I: Chart. (10 points)
    Flashcards are recommended to study for this portion of the test.

Be able to recognize examples of each. Review the chart from “Federigo’s Falcon”

Part III: Multiple Choice. (28 points)
This section tests knowledge of stories as well as concepts covered in class, such as:
    Why we tell stories (notes)
    Frame Story (notes)
    Characteristics of folktales (notes)
    Also study using the discussion question notes for “Federigo’s Falcon,” “The Fisherman
       and the Jinnee” and “The Brave Little Tailor”
    Master Narrative (on Promises handout, also be able to relate to Dawn)
    Escape vs. Interpretive Literature (see your notes and handout for characteristics of each)
    Correct MLA in-text citation and Work Cited (see Dawn quote sandwich assignment
       sheet and A Pocket Style Manual)

Part IV: Quotation Identification (30 points)
You will be asked to identify which story the quotes come from, as well as some characters.

Part V: Essay. (20 points)
It will be about one of the major themes of this unit, and will call upon you to use specific details
from the stories to support your points.

General Study Tips
-review journal entries, handouts and notes
-skim through the works again to refresh your memory
