SCHEDULE STAR CLIFF NOTES
1. Change/Update your personal information
a. Select your school
b. Edit your information
Name
Email
Phone number
c. Save and Exit
2. Putting new schools into your opponent list
a. Select Opponents (located lower left of main schedule star screen)
b. Search New
Pick a school from the list
Select school by highlighting it (it will be blue) it will go into
the selected box below
1. it will disappear
If school is not on list then you will have to request new
Done
c. Look in opponent list for school just added
d. If done hit save and exit, if not repeat above
e. You can add or modify opponents any time by clicking on
opponents button.
3. Adding a new Facility
a. Select Utilities (located on right side of screen, near print)
b. Select Edit Facilities
c. Click on New
Field box will turn grey
d. Type the name of the facility and give it an abbreviation code
e. If done save and exit
f. If not done hit save and repeat above
4. Game Wizard (G-Wiz)
a. Lets you set facility defaults for teams and setup to schedule
multiple levels at the same time.
b. Associate your F/S football with your Varsity Football, etc.
c. Select Game Wizard (located on left side of screen)
d. Current Events – Select Add
Edit if you have to make changes
Remove if you no longer want to use
e. Add Gender, level, sport, time, facility in top box
f. Go to Schedule the Following Games (bottom box)
Select Either Home or Away (best)

Opposite (box) if scheduling basketball or soccer games
where a shared facility is an issue
Hit Add
Repeat above if you have more that one team to link to the
same team
Hit Save when done
5. Adding a new game (events)
a. The event can be a
Sporting event (game)

School
Personal
Other
b. Select Add a game
Select the correct date
Fill in Sport
Fill in Level
Fill in Gender
Put your opponent in
Select home or away
Put the time in
Put the facility in
c. If done hit save and exit
d. If not done hit copy and save (if you have multiple practice games
to put in on same date or for the same team use this short cut)
You can now change the date, opponent, etc
Hit copy and save
When you have your last one hit save and exit
e. If you set up game Wizard your lower levels will all ready be done
Hit yes to confirm that you want to schedule the lower level
at the same time.
If not hit no.
6. Edit a game
a. Highlight the date and select Edit
b. Make the changes
c. Select Save when done
7. Flashing E – the Event Notifier
a. Flashing red ”E” in lower right corner of screen
b. Means a school or League Commissioner has sent you something
c. Click on the “E” to bring up the list
d. If it is from another AD it will be in the first green tab
e. You can select the event by highlighting it
If you need to see what you have schedule for that date
click on the Go To button. It will take you to the day on
your calendar.
To accept an event, click accept you will be asked to
confirm the sport, level, gender.
1. if the event is already in schedule star it will ask you if
the event is the same.
a. It does so schedule star will not duplicate the
game. If you don’t do this it will duplicate and
will cause you to see the game twice.
b. If you see the game listed twice one of the
games has to be removed
i. If not the master schedule will have the
game twice.
If you need to Decline the event, click on Decline
1. You will need to enter a reason or it will not let you
decline the game.
2. The other school will get a notification and the reason
8. Flashing O
a. If you used the arbiter you can check the names of the officials from
here with out having to log into the arbiter.
9. Arbiter Setup
a. Select “Utilities”
b. Select “Arbiter Setup”
c. Select “Add Group”
d. Type in the group number & select “Next”
e. Select your school in drop box & select “Next”
f. In step 3 of 4 of “The Arbiter Setup Wizard” select “Next”
g. Select the team from The Arbiter & MATCH “The Arbiter Team”
with “Your Schedule Star Team” (Note: Do not select 2 different
teams)
h. After being matched, select Add & when finished, select done.
(Note: Repeat for each level for each sport)
Best practices for schedule star
Home team should input the game
Visiting team will either
Accept the Flashing E
Decline the Flashing E
Decline the Flashing E
Check so you know the reason
Need a reason to decline
Wrong date, etc
Can’t agree best to pick up the phone and get it correct
Do not input your league schedule
o You will accept your schedule from the Flashing E, it will be the
grey tab (from league central).
o You can accept all or you can accept each game one by one
Check to make sure that you have not gone over the number of allowable
practice games.
Best is to email or call the other AD just to confirm that they game is still
on
Your league commissioner should send you a preliminary schedule so that
you can inform him or her of any corrections that need to be done. You
will only get the preliminary schedule if your correct email is in the
opponent list.
The only schedule that you should input right now on your own is the golf
and lacrosse schedules. Right now there is no way to input as a league.
