Dawn Hasbrouck is co-anchor of WBZ-TV CBS News' weekend newscasts at 6PM and
11PM. She is also an Emmy-nominated reporter who reports three days a week on WBZ
CBS News Boston and on the sister station TV38 news at 9pm.
Hasbrouck joined WBZ CBS in February 2007 from CBS in Hartford, CT where she
spent three years as the weekday anchor on the station's top-rated morning and noon
newscasts. She was also the station's medical reporter. Before Hartford, Hasbrouck was
the weekend morning anchor at Fox in Milwaukee, WI. She began her career at Fox in
Savannah, GA as the weeknight 10pm anchor.
Hasbrouck graduated with a B.A. degree in Public Policy from Duke University and went
on to receive a M.S. degree in Journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School
of Journalism. Dawn is a member of Northwestern University's "Council of 100". She is
also a graduate of St. Ignatius College Prep in Chicago, IL.
Six months after moving to Boston, Dawn was honored by the Boston Business Journal
and named to its Top 40 under 40 list. The award is designed to recognize Greater
Boston's next generation of successful leaders who are under 40 years old. Honorees are
chosen based on their career accomplishments and their involvement in the community.
Born and raised in Chicago, Hasbrouck is an accomplished performer having studied
opera for nine years, and she enjoys fine arts almost as much as she enjoys volunteering
for youth organizations and mentoring programs. And here's something you don't hear
everyday…both Hasbrouck and her husband are twins. They live in the Greater Boston
area with their son.
