1. Open the internet
2. Go to http://www.careercruising.com/
3. Key in the Username: shs (Exactly as Keyed)
4. Key in the Password: tigers (Exactly as Keyed)
5. Click on “Explore Careers”
6. Select Explore by School Subject.
7. You can also search using Career Selector. This uses a variety of criteria.
Use the following guidelines but put information into a PowerPoint using related
pictures, etc. to enhance your PowerPoint. Remember any detailed information will
need to be added to the detailed note section of your slide.

Schools List three schools where one could study this field and include their web sites. DO
NOT INCLUDE ON-LINE COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES! Remember, this should be in
report format.
After keying the last paragraph heading, Schools begin a new page and key three or more
references following the example below. You need to actually use these references in your
report.

Set your spacing to single and select Hanging Indent using: Format, Paragraph, Special, and
Hanging.
Double Space between each reference
Reset Hanging Indent now and at the beginning of each reference.
Don’t forget to include the page number at the top (header) Deselect the checkmark so that
there will not be a page number on the first page.
When the report is complete, spell and grammar check the document, save, and print.
Cover Sheet: Using Word Art, key in the title: Career Report and the Name of Your Career.
Insert a Picture relevant to your career. Key in Your Name and Class Period. Balance on the
page in an attractive format.
