3. HAZARD IDENTIFICATION Primary Routes of Entry: Skin contact, eye contact Routes of Entry/Affects of Exposure Inhalation: Mists can cause irritation or burns of the upper respiratory tract. Pneumonitis can result from severe exposures. Skin: Major potential hazard. Contact with the skin can cause severe irritation and burns. Eyes: Major potential hazard. Mists can cause irritation, with high concentrations causing destructive burns and possible blindness. Ingestion: Ingestion can cause severe burns and pain in lips, mouth, tongue, throat and stomach. Death can result from ingestion. Chronic Effects of Exposure: May cause areas of tissue damage or dermatitis. Carcinogenicity: The components in this product are not listed in the IARC, NTP, OSHA, or PA lists of carcinogens. CA Proposition 65: N/A Medical conditions aggravated by exposure: May aggravate existing skin, eye, or respiratory conditions. First Aid Measures Oral Ingestion: DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING! If person is conscious, immediately administer water. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Call a physician. Take to hospital. Special Note: Skin Contact: Immediately flush contaminated skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes while flushing with water. If burn or irritation occurs, call a physician. Eye Contact: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of clean, running water for at least 15 minutes, holding eyelids apart to ensure flushing of the entire eye surface. Call a physician. Inhalation: Immediately remove victim to fresh air. If respiratory symptoms or other symptoms of exposure develop, seek immediate medical assistance. Waste disposal method: This product (if disposed of as shipped) meets EPA criteria of a hazardous waste (as specified in 40 CFR 261) based on its corrosiveness.
