> Creating a Healthy School Environment

A healthy school environment, includes two aspects, namely social
(non-physical and physical).
a. non-physical aspects (mental, social):
the school social environment is the relationship between
the school community (students, teachers, school officials and parents
of students). Mentally healthy social environment occurs when the
relationship is harmonious and conducive among the components of
the school community. This harmonious relationship that will
ensure the growth and development of children
or pupils well, including the growth of healthy behavior.
b. The physical environment consists of:
Building the school and its environment consisting of:
• Location of school is not close to places of
public or crowds, such as markets, terminals, malls, and
so on.
• big and the construction of school buildings in accordance with the number of
students is sufficient.
• Availability of school grounds and school gardens.
• Adequate ventilation to ensure circulation
of air in each classroom.
• Lighting or lighting should be enough, mainly
light from the sun can go into every room
class.
• System wastewater disposal and rainwater is guaranteed
not to cause inundation (to flow).
• Available water supply and sewerage large or small water
(toilet) .
