several more iconic musicians who are featured in the The Pop Culture Vault’s
collections.
1. Johnny Cash. Known as The Man in Black, Johnny Cash appears in The Pop Culture
Vault with a fine art photo from the Hulton|Archive of London Collection. This hand-
numbered, hand-titled print is a still from the film Road to Nashville.
2. KISS. This glam rock band from the U.S. has received 22 gold albums, and the band is
internationally renowned. The Pop Culture Vault offers a limited edition fine art giclée of
a photograph taken at the London Airport, as the band arrived—in full costumes and
makeup—for its first European concert tour.
3. Madonna. As a performer, Madonna is known for crossing boundaries. She has been
called the Queen of Pop, and the Guinness Book of Records lists Madonna as the most
successful female recording artist of all time. The Pop Culture Vault offers fine art
photography and a replication of her RIAA Gold Record Award for her self-titled album.
4. Rolling Stones. This group made its debut in the early 1960s, and remains one the most
legendary rock acts in existence. The Pop Culture Vault offers artwork of the band by Joe
Petruccio, fine art photography, and a replication of the Rolling Stones’ RIAA award for
2002’s 40 Licks, framed alongside a promotional poster.
5. U2. Irish rock band U2 has sold more than 170 million albums worldwide. Frontman
Bono uses his musical success to advocate for human rights, and the group is known for
its political activism. The Pop Culture Vault features fine art photography of U2 and a
reproduction of the group’s RIAA award for 2004’s How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb.
