Tests are created from within Content Areas. TIP
Descriptions
Basic Set-up appear in the
Content Area
Within the content area you wish your test to appear: before students
Open the [Create Assessment] menu and select Test. launch the test.
Instructions
Click [Create].

Enter a Name, Description and Instructions for your test. the test itself.
Open the [Create Question] menu, select a question type, and enter your question.
TIPS
Click [OK], then [Submit] to select your newly-created test.
You can re-use
You will be presented with a Test Options form.

Most sections of this form can be left with the default settings. Below are some of the
more frequently changed settings.
If desired, set an automatic announcement that the test has been posted using the
Add a New Announcement for this Test option.
By default, students are only able to complete the test once. To allow further TIP
attempts, tick Multiple Atte#mpts. You can set the

Section 4.Self-Assessment Options can be used to enable formative tests by

Number of Attempts
The next options are of limited use: we recommend leaving them on the default and enter the
settings: Force Completion, Set Timer, Display After, Display Until, Password, Due number of tries

Section 5. Test Feedback can be used to control the feedback displayed to students
once they have completed the test.
Section 6. Test Presentation can be used to control whether the test is displayed on
a single page (All at Once) or in a series of separate pages (One at a Time).
Finally, questions can be displayed in random order using Randomize Questions.
