“Mind of a Killer”
Write a one page paper addressing the following questions.
1. Do you believe that people can have brain abnormalities that would be conducive
to acting on impulses and committing murder? Explain.
2. Do you think any cold blooded killer is mentally ill or is there a difference
between a cold blooded killer and someone who is mentally ill?
3. Is this man responsible for the murders he committed and should we hold him to
the same accountability as anyone who murders?
4. Assume you are the judge at this man’s trial, explain how you would sentence this
man. Should this man be in prison, a hospital, or be free? Should he receive
medical treatment? For how long? Should he ever be free? If so, when and how
would you decide he’s “ready” or healthy enough to be free? Can he be
rehabilitated?
5. Do you think his being bullied in school has anything do to with his becoming a
murderer?
6. How do feel about what this documentary has to say? Are you disturbed by it?
