                       CAST OF CHARACTERS
HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE AUDTION: Students must prepare to sing a song from any
musical other than the You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. Those students who are called back will
be taught numbers from the show. We want students to prepare a song that they are MOST
comfortable singing. Students MUST have copies of the sheet music for our accompanist.
Remember the following two rules:
  1. Students can NOT sing a capella for their auditions. We need to see that each student can
     sing along with an accompanist.
  2. Students can NOT audition in pairs or any other group sizes. Students will audition on an
     individual basis.

Students looking for sheet music for the audition can use the following websites as a
resource:

                      www.Musicnotes.com www.SheetMusicPlus.com

These links are also available on the MMS drama page as well.

You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown rehearsals will begin on Monday, December 8th, 2008 with
our first read through, and it will run through the end of the production on March 21st.
This year, the smaller show requires both cuts to fit a smaller cast and students who can make
every rehearsal. Also, with CMT’s taking place the two weeks before the show, we will need to
hold Saturday rehearsals in order to decrease the demands on your time during the week.
Print an X on any dates on the calendar below that you know you will be away, or have
another commitment and will not be able to attend rehearsal. Include sports, lessons, tutoring,
doctor’s appointments, vacations, etc. Students will only be allowed ONE un-excused absence
during the early rehearsal process – you will be removed from the cast upon your second
unexcused absence. Also, students will only be allowed THREE excused absences during the
early rehearsal process. The only exception to this second rule is illness, which will be dealt
with on a case-by-case basis. This is your chance to let us know your conflicts so that they may
be excused. Two additional rehearsal notes:
    1. No absences of any kind will be permitted after February 6th, 2009.
    2. There will be no rehearsal during Winter Break, February 15th – 21st.
