Saturday, February 13th – Immediately following weigh-ins

G. WEIGH-INS
1. Saturday, February 13th- 8:00 am – Sedro-Woolley HS Gym
2. Athletes will need photo ID and weigh-in cards to weigh-in. This will
prepare the athlete for the State tournament procedures. Weigh-in
cards will be given at the weigh-ins each day.
3. All teams should report at weigh-in time. We will weigh in by School.
H. ADMISSION: Please note: Tickets are good for all day.
1. Adult /Student w/out ASB $8.00
Student w/ASB/Child/Sr. Citizen $6.00
2. Acceptable passes: Press Pass and WIAA Lifetime Passes ONLY
** NO OTHER PASSES WILL BE ACCEPTED**
3. Schools will forward the included pass list to the tournament manager no later than
TUESDAY, FEB. 9th (FAX: 360-855-3517) OR email to
Marilyn Solemslie at msolemslie@swsd.k12.wa.us
4. Cheerleaders in uniform will be admitted free. Each school will be limited to a
maximum of four at mat side. Their names should appear on the attached pass
gate list.
5. News media and photographers - only those approved by the tournament director
will be allowed in the mat area.
6. Mat Classic (State Tournament) All Tournament Tickets will be available on a pre-
sale basis and will be sold on Saturday evening. Ticket prices will be:
All Tournament Adult / Student w/out ASB $22.00
Student/Sr. Citizen/Child $16.00
Single Session and All Day Tickets can be purchased at the Tacoma Dome.
I. AWARDS
1. Medals will be awarded to the first four place finishers in each weight class.
2. Individual awards will be presented during the championship session. Team
scores will be kept and a First Place Team trophy will be presented at the
conclusion of the tournament.
J. STATE QUALIFIERS
1. The first four place finishers in each weight division will qualify for the State
Wrestling Tournament to be held in the Tacoma Dome February 20th and 21st.
2. The 5th place finisher will become the alternate at the State Tournament. The
alternate will be used in the event of a scratch by a higher placer for their district
only.
K. OFFICIALS
To be determined by WIAA at a later date.
L. MATCHES ENDING IN A DRAW
1. Federation overtime and sudden death rules will apply.
2. For the Championship finals, two officials will be used.
M. PROTEST
1. Any protests occurring at the tournament will be presented to the Tournament
Director and he will confer with the Tournament Committee present. Their
decision will be final.
N. FLOOR RESTRICTIONS
1. No one will be permitted to stand along the mats, including coaches, wrestlers,
and spectators.
2. The limit is two coaches per mat. We insist they remain seated in the chair during
the course of the match unless there is an injury.
O. FACILITIES
1. PARKING FACILITIES
Parking is available on campus and on-street parking.
2. SIGNS
No signs except official school banners allowed.
3. BANDS AND NOISEMAKERS
No bands and noisemakers will be allowed.
P. TEAM SCORING
1. All tournament scoring will be as stated in the National Federation
Rule Book
TEAM PLACEMENT
First Place - 16 points Fourth Place - 7 points
Second Place - 12 points Fifth Place - 5 points
Third Place - 9 points Sixth Place - 3 points
Q. WITHDRAWAL OF QUALIFIERS
Any school that intends to withdraw a qualified participant should contact Todd
Torgeson at (360-855-3514) as soon as possible. This will allow time to contact
the alternates.

Round Two: Semi-Finals & Consolation Quarter Finals (2 Mats)
Round Three: Consolation Semi-Finals
Round Four: Consolation Finals – 3rd/4th and 5th/6th (2 Mats)
Start of Championship Finals (1 mat) immediately following Round Four
(The tournament will be ran continuously from start to finish with no scheduled breaks)
