Trip Highlights
• Excellent camaraderie among the ministry team.
• Six quality concerts; every site (inmates and chaplains)
expressed their deep appreciation to the ministry.
• No travel mishaps; RV ran fine. Glad Dave J. was along!!
• David Potter and John Jones had solo songs that were
outstanding. Shin had solo guitar pieces likewise outstanding!
• Shin shared his personal testimony at the evening service at
Walla Walla. Chaplain Floyd Stevens said that testimony
made the whole night; very moving.
• Kerry shared a recent vision at a few services, men blessed!
• Solid one-on-one time with each chaplain.
• An inmate at Walla Walla came up to us after the morning
concert, and with moist eyes said “We have many, many
worship teams come through here each year, and I’ve
been in your service the past two years. If I could only
attend one worship service per year, it would be with your
team.” This was after a concert with much technical problems!
Special Thanks…
• David Potter and the men of the Catalyst Worship Band,
Kerry Skaugset, John Jones, Shin Mishina, for the
rehearsals and preparations and investment in equipment
to advance the kingdom of Heaven.
• Dave Jordan for sharing in the driving and the preaching
and running the sound board.
• The chaplains and administration at every institution for all
of the extra effort they put in for the ministry to prisoners.
• My wife Leslie and especially my daughter Amanda for
preparing the motorhome for the weekend, including
stocking it with food and snacks!
• Penny Castro and the PFC home office for the hours of
effort it took to coordinate the campaign.
• The families of the ministry team, who share in the reward.
• The Holy Ghost, who in our weaknesses was shown strong
in our midst, as we lifted up the name of Jesus Christ to the
best of our ability; God the Father be praised for His heart
to the least of the least. World without end, amen!
Dedication
This trip is dedicated to Chaplain Terry
Madden, past president of the Washington
Chaplains Association, and most recently
chaplain at Olympic Correction Center,
who unexpectedly passed away June 22,
2010. Terry, a kind man, will be missed.
