        approvals information.
    • View and pay inventory and charges.
    • View prior payments for a period of up to six months following the payment date.
    • View volume totals by current month, prior month and current year.
    • View, print and export reports that detail your account information in an easy-to-read
        format.
    • View, print and export transaction statements, bills and other account documents from
        the Online Document Center.
    • Contact your Account Manager.

Figure 18: Make Payments Menu drop-down

Making payments is a two-step process. First, you apply payments from the Principal Due
(Figure 20), Charges Due (Figure 21), Open Invoices (Figure 9), Open Line Items (Figure 13),
Invoice Aging (Figure 14), and Line Item Aging (Figure 16) pages. Each payment will be
added to the Confirm Payments total (Figure 3, E) located at the top right of the page. After
you’ve applied all payments, you must select a payment type and confirm on the Confirm
Payments page (Figure 19). Payments must be confirmed before they will be processed by the
system.

To apply a payment:
    1. Locate the desired payment(s) on the page.
    2. Select the Pay icon to pay the amount in full. To make a partial payment, enter the
desired payment amount in the Payment Amount field. Repeat for each record on the
page for which you wish to make a payment. If you wish to pay all listed records in full,
click the Pay All button located at either the top or bottom of the page.
    3. Click the Apply Payments button located at the top or bottom of the page. If you have
multiple pages of records, you must Apply Payments before you can click the Next
Page or Previous Page links to work with those records. You must also Apply
        Payments before searching or sorting.
    4. Go to Confirm Payments.

To reverse an unconfirmed payment:
    1. Locate the desired payment(s) on the page.
    2. Select the Reverse icon to reverse the payment.
    3. Click Apply Payments. If you have multiple pages of records, you must Apply
Payments before you can click the Next Page or Previous Page links to work with those
        records.
    4. Go to Confirm Payments.

For information on how to reverse a confirmed payment, see Reverse Payment.

If you make a payment error (such as overpaying), appropriate error messages are displayed at
the top of the page when you click the Apply Payments button. The incorrect payment will also
be marked.

                                                                                                17
NOTE: If the Pay/Reverse column is empty and the Payment Amount column is read-
only, you do not have authority to make payments. Please contact CSHPI with any
        questions.

If another user has already entered a payment, or you have entered a payment for the
same record from another page, a appears in the Pay/Reverse column. The other
payment must be confirmed or reversed before you can enter a payment from this page.
If you hover your mouse above the , a small box of text will appear explaining which
page the other payment was made from, or that the other payment was made by another
        user.

If there is an envelope ( ) next to a figure in the Current Balance column on any page,
this means that the Current Balance amount has been reduced by a Confirmed
        Payment still in-transit to CSHPI.
