Serial Killer Exhibit Project

Objective: Research a notorious serial killer and create and present a poster board exhibit.

Required materials: poster board

Required Project Elements:

o Participation and Preparation- 5%

 Student comes to class prepared with required materials each day.

 Student is on task and productive during classroom work days

o Content- 50%

 Serial Killer Profile

o Name o # of victims

o Background o Summary of how the killer was caught

o Modus Operandi o Important Evidence

o Location of crimes o Sentencing

o Summary of crimes committed Victim profile o Where are they now?

 Photo of serial killer

 Quote

 Citation worksheet completed correctly and attached to back of poster board

o Visual Presentation- 30 %

 General Visual Appeal through use of space, font, font size, color, design, and arrangement of elements

 Content clearly organized

 Mechanics- minimal spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and grammatical errors

o Presentation- 15%

 Professionalism

 Student makes eye contact with audience, is audible, and speaks clearly

 Presentation is practiced- student knows what he/she is going to say and does not read directly from poster board
