Scout Program Policies
1. The program fee is $5.00 per child participant. There is no charge for adult
chaperones. If two programs are reserved for the same day, the fee is the
same. If two programs are reserved for different days the group is charged
separate fees for each program.
2. If a program is designed to require two sessions, the group will be charged
one program fee if both sessions are facilitated on the same day, two fees
if facilitated on two different days.
3. Siblings of participants are discouraged from attending; however, if they
must attend, they will be expected to participate appropriately or be
accompanied by an adult at all times and otherwise occupied at the facility.
4. A program reservation is held only if a minimum of 6 participants is
guaranteed and paid for two weeks in advance of the program date.
5. If a group attends with fewer than 6 participants, no refund will be issued
for the difference.
6. No more than 25 registrants will be accepted for a particular program.
7. Required child/adult ratios are as follows: 8 years old and under – 2:1
9 years old and over – 6:1
8. The MEC will not cancel a program due to weather unless the facility is
ordered closed. Indoor alternatives will be provided in the event of
inclement weather.
9. If a scheduled group decides to cancel its reservation it must notify the
MEC 10 days in advance. If the MEC is not notified within this timeframe,
the group will be billed 50% of its program fee.
