JOBS 4 ECP’S launches a specialist recruitment website for eye care professionals in Canada.
Located in Calgary, Alberta, JOBS 4 ECP’S is a national Canadian organization dedicated to the recruiting
efforts of the eye care industry. We offer job posting services to all eye care sectors including
Optometry, Opticians, Ophthalmology, Lasik, Retail Optical, Ocularists, Orthoptists, Surgical & Medical,
Ophthalmic and Lab Technicians. We are Canada’s only job board exclusive to eye care and for the
benefit of both the employer and job seeker alike.
Founded by Trudi Charest who brings an extensive background in eye care, human resources and
recruiting. Trudi is a Licensed Optician who started her career working for one of Canada’s largest
Optical chains. During her 20+ years at the Optical Chain, Trudi worked in management, corporate
training, work force planning and human resources. Trudi returned to school to complete Human
Resource Management Certificate at the University of Calgary. Trudi also brings experience in the eye
care industry working with Optos as a Clinical Consultant, Bausch & Lomb as a Vision Care Territory
Manager and Doctors Eyecare Network (DEN) as Director of Training and HR. She is joined in
partnership with Lynda Davidson who brings additional skills and experience in Human Resources.
Lynda is a business owner, $10 million dollar project leader, has extensive background in marketing and
development as well as human resource management.
Finding and hiring employees is one of eye care biggest challenges. Recruitment efforts in all eye care
sectors is highly specialized and demands specific industry knowledge. JOBS 4 ECP’S has developed a
network of relationships and partnerships to drive awareness about our recruitment website. We are
committed to creating a destination for anyone in eye care searching for eye care employees or seeking
eye care jobs.
We hear the frustrations from both the employer and job seeker that there is no common place to
investigate opportunities in the eye care industry. Job seekers are kept busy jumping from job board to
job board looking for openings in their area. Often missing job postings due to lack of awareness.
Employers are challenged as to where they should post a job vacancy…many posting on free job boards
that generate no “quality” responses. JOBS 4 ECP’S is all eye care and targets the industry for you.
We feed job postings to over 25 job boards for additional exposure. We advertise in industry magazines,
newsletters, association websites and communications. We believe in exposure by social media and
market daily on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn as well as Blogger. We advertise with
Facebook ads and Google Ads so our marketing shows up where eye care job seekers are googling. We
have over 2000 eye care connections in our social network. In 17 short weeks we have over 27,000
visitors to the website and growing daily.
