Plot synopsis: Kreifr (Zach) and the Vikings are carousing in the Courtyard. King
Ragnar comes in with some bad news: Queen Elfridl is dying. The Mysterious Sage
pops up from under the table and says that in order to save the queen, Kreifr must sail
to the Mysterious East to find a Magic Amulet that will save her. Kreifr and the
Vikings hop on the ship, along with the Thralls.
Along the way, they hear the piteous cries of the Princesses being kidnapped by Hrolf
the Ganger. Kreifr rushes to the rescue. A sword battle ensues.
Father Simon keeps saying, “Peace, my son.” The Thralls go on strike.
At last, they reach the Mysterious East. They are almost ripped off by the Used Camel
Dealer, who apologizes, telling them they can find the Amulet in the Camp of The
Sheik (who turns out to be the same actor as The Mysterious Sage.
The Sheik gives them the Amulet on the condition that Kreifr wed his daughter. Then,
Kreifr discovers that the Amulet will not work. It is a forgery. “Of course it won‟t
work,” smiles the Sheik. “It is an OS IX Amulet. Your ship is OS X.”
Kreifr is about to strangle the Sheik.
The End
All is not lost-- Back in Northstad, The Queen has secretly discovered a remedy for her
ailment.
We will do this skit tonight, if Zach is available to play the Viking, or if anybody wants
to do a scaled-down version. If not, hopefully, we can reschedule to a time that is
amenable to a bunch o' people.
