A Meeting that Changed My Life

Have you ever had a meeting that changed your life? Maybe this person is still around you;

maybe it was a one-off event but it still has an impact; maybe it is someone you began to love

or fear, respect or pity, find awkward or entertaining. Maybe it was not even a meeting with a

person. Maybe you realised instantaneously that this would be something special; maybe you

only gradually woke up to its meaning; maybe it still remains a mystery.

Tell us about this meeting and how it made a difference to you. It can be fact or fiction, a

serious or funny piece, essay, prose or poem.

Prizes: Book Prizes (worth £200, £150, £100 for 1. to 3. Prize) plus 7 commendations. All 10

winners will be invited to a Creative Writing workshop at the University of Kent, Canterbury,

with acclaimed poets Katherine Pierpoint and Paul Mathews.
