How to Access POE for Nursing Students On-Line
1. Go to www.hopkinsinteractive.org
2. Click on my Learning
3. Log in using your JHED ID if you have one, if not click login using the guest ID
a. If you have a JHED ID but have not logged into the site Click First Time
JHED Users Click Here and follow instructions for setting your password
b. If logging in under a guest, click the first option, First time entering this site as a
guest “Register”
c. Fill out all the information
d. The Registration Key is JHMI0108
4. Once you are logged in you will see a column on the left hand side. Click on course
catalog
5. Click Information System- Business, Clinical, Financial Catalogue- then click the Clinical
Information Systems Catalogue. You will see multiple POE classes. Take the classes
that best fit you.

6. Select the class you need and either click take course or add to my learning plan. If you
are ready to begin a course added to my learning plan, click the My Learning plan tab
on the left hand side. The course you have added to your plan will display. Click the
course and begin.
a. MAKE SURE THE POP-BLOCKER IS OFF!!
i. On the top where you see file, edit, view favorites, Etc. CLICK ON TOOLS.
Go to Pop-up Blocker. It should say Turn ON pop up blocker. If it says
Turn off, CLICK it so it says TURN ON
7. Once you have completed the training please fill out these two forms:
a. Confidentiality Agreement Form (each student must fill one out)
b. Clinical Information System Authorization Form
c. For students -- Clinical instructor will complete and fax to JHMCIS Security
BEFORE students may gain access to Sunrise. The student's Confidentiality
Agreement must also be faxed with the CIS Form to JHMCIS Security with the
POE Access Form. See Sunrise training.
i. Log-in IDs and Passwords will be emailed to the instructor within 48
hours
