ELKO ARCHERY CLUB MEETING MINUTES

TREASURERS REPORT: $12,855.00 gross earnings from Bowhunter Classic & $6000.00 from Raffle
$460.00 from He-Bahs BBQ to be donated to Breast Cancer.
$6500.00 – checking $19,525.66 - savings $26,027.25 – total money
CLASSIC THOUGHTS: Get a PA system or bullhorn to make announcements and award ceremony. Chuck Knight has
one we can use.
Top Flights: find a different way to group the ‘groups’ as there was a rumor of cheating among
the top flights!
CABELAS SHOOT: We took 10 targets down for their use. We were promised some ‘gratuities’ for our efforts and
we have not heard a word. It was lots of work, travel, expense and wear on our targets.
RANGE REPORT: not much to report.
OLD BUSINESS: 100 yard target hazard was brought back to the table.
Joan motioned to move the bags out to 90 and 100 yards and combine the concrete marking
with the 80 yard marker. Jessica seconded the motion. Motion passed.
Windows and siding for the building. Going to get a work party worked up to get this done.
NEW BUSINESS: Our guests from Boys & Girls Club, Horizon Hospice and VFW accepted checks for $500.00 each.
Donation money came from the proceeds from the 3D Indoor Safari Shoot, Horse Palace. The
VFW money will actually be donated to the Military Defense Fund to help the families of our
soldiers serving out of the country.
Newmont survey – all present participated in survey for Newmont. Because they donate to our
Classic Raffle they wanted some information on our organization, etc.
NEXT SHOOT: July 12 at 10:00am – 3D unmarked broadhead shoot. Jerry S. & John B.
July 24 at 6:30pm – 3D unmarked evening shoot. Mike M.
NBHA/NFAA: Mac Tilley nominated to represent NBHA. He accepted the nomination.
