Funny Books for Read Aloud Mo Willems books David Shannon books The Down, Girl and Sit books by Lucy Nolan are definitely LOL! Also try Alligator Baby by Robert Munsch and Birdbrain Amos by Michael Delaney. My 3rd and 4th graders really like Please Write in This Book by Mary Amato. A picture book that they like is Do Unto Otters: A Book About Manners by Laurie Keller Mind Your Manners, B.B. Wolf is a lot of fun to read aloud - lots of characters from other stories are in it, too. Spud Murphy by Eion Colfer is a hoot! My kids laugh at the Pigeon books, Substitute Teacher Plans, No David, Porcupining, A Prickly Love Story ( sing with a horrible porcupine voice), Skippy Jon Jones series, the Christmas version of the Marley book (the name escapes me, possibly Marley's first Christmas), Good Boy Fergus, New Socks, Too Many Toys Marley goes to school has just been released The "Skippyjon Jones" series is a big hit. The cd's that accompany it, read by the author, are great fun. Any scaredy squirrel story by Melanie Watts and they love Who Is Melvil Bubble? by Nick Bruel. My k-2 students also enjoy Chickens to the Rescue by John Himmelman
