Applied Statistics Minor
Statistics II (MATH350) or Actuarial Statistics III AM332 (Applied Statistics
courses)
Applied Data Mining (Math360)
Applied Multivariate Statistics (MATH461)
Choose one of the following courses:
ECO215, Econometrics
SS390, Research Methods in the Social Sciences
MATH354, Software Applications
MATH355 SAS Programming and Applied Statistics
MATH456, Statistical and Mathematical Decision-Making
AM230, Actuarial Statistics I (Probability)

Mathematics Minor
Students will select four (4) courses above the core requirement from the
following list (at least 1 course must be at the 300 or 400 level):
Calculus and Analytic Geometry I (MATH121)
Calculus and Analytic Geometry II (MATH122)
Calculus and Analytic Geometry III (MATH223)
Linear Algebra (MATH326)
Math of Finance (MATH109)
Discrete Structures (MATH228)
Statistics II (MATH350) (Applied Statistics)
Software Applications for Mathematics (MATH354)
Actuarial Statistics I (AM230) (Probability)
Actuarial Statistics II (AM231) (Mathematical Statistics)
Actuarial Statistics III (AM332) (Applied Statistics)
Statistical and Mathematical Decision Making (MATH456)
MATH485, Special Topics in Mathematics
Directed Study in Mathematics (MATH497)
Note: No more than two (2) calculus courses may be counted toward the four (4)
courses. The core requirement is either MATH105 & MATH 106 or MATH121 &
MATH122. If a student starts with MATH105 & MATH106, they may count
MATH121 & MATH122 toward the minor. A student who takes MATH105 or
MATH107 may not take MATH109. A student may not take both M350 and
AM332. Not Open to AM or AMS Concentrators.
