Funny Old World
It’s a funny old world really isn’t it? When you’re created you come into the
world not knowing who you are, what your purpose in life is. You don’t know
who you’re going to meet or indeed what will happen to you when you meet
them. No, all in all it truly is a funny old world. Now me, I’ve been around for
quite a while, not as long as some of the old bags you see around but I’m
certainly no youngster. Well I say I’m not, it’s all a case of perspective really, I
mean compared to an elephant I’m only slightly more than the gleam in some
bodies eye. Whereas compared to a tsetse fly I’m an elephant. Well, you get
what I mean. Anyway, I digress. Where was I… Ah yes, the world and how
funny it is. Actually, again, it’s a matter of perspective as to how funny you do
find it. As you should have gathered by now, I find it funny. Funny peculiar
rather than funny ha ha though. Actually it’s never really funny ha ha, other
than when you watch those programs where people have sent in their own
home videos. You must know the ones I mean. Cats stuck in tumble driers
and the like.
Come to think of it that’s not really all that funny either.
