LANDSCAPE INTERNSHIP
The Milwaukee Brewers have openings for Landscape Management Interns. Positions are
available March through November 2012 with a 3-month minimum duration. Evening,
weekends, and holiday hours may be required. Internships are paid, hourly positions.
Miller Park, opened in 2001, is a $400-million stadium site. The 260 acres that make up Miller
Park contains 30 acres of manicured grass and diverse landscape plantings. The 30 acres of
landscape require detailed care and continual renovation projects.
Landscape Management Intern will be expected to demonstrate competency in the following
duties: Plant Identification, Integrated Pest Management, Landscape Design, Irrigation
Maintenance, Landscape Installation, Seasonal Landscape Maintenance, Application of
Fertilizer and Herbicides. Landscape Management Interns will be expected to operate all
equipment in accordance with safety standards. Interns will be given the opportunity to
independently lead and supervise crew members. Additional educational opportunities will
include maintenance of the Miller Park Field and Helfaer the little league facility.
Successful applicants should have a valid driver’s license, excellent work ethic and should be
enrolled in or recently graduated from a landscape management, ornamental horticulture or
related college program. Priority deadline for applications is December 14th, 2011.
