Kenya Cameroon: Silver Spring Presbyterian Church has partnered with Presbyterian
Church, Bueatown, Cameroon). A PC(USA) mission co-worker for PCC works as a
health educator, and Silver Spring has co-workers at the Presbyterian Seminary in
Kumba, Cameroon. Saint Mark PC has worked in the Village of Tchekos since 1990 and
will begin a new clean drinking-water project for the village this year.
Congo: Warner Memorial supports Mission worker Nancy Haninger as she and her
co-workers teach how to grow, harvest, and use leaves of the Moringa Tree which
provide essential nutrients to adults and children. Warner has missionary partners at the
Good Shepherd Hospital. First Presbyterian Annandale also supports mission in Congo.
Ghana: Neelsville Presbyterian supports missionary Rev. William Addai who is
building the Center for African Leadership Studies in Kumasi. Rev. Addai teaches
Christian-based leadership principles to educators and government officials. Rev. Addai
currently is in the U.S recovering from an neurological disorder and needs our continued
prayers. Covenant, Ebenezer, and Gaithersburg PCs also support mission in Ghana.
Kenya: More than 20 NCP churches are partnering with churches and others on
projects in the areas of church development, safe housing for youth, education, health
care—especially HIV/AIDS care and treatment—vulnerable children and orphan care,
and church leadership training.
Lesotho: Lewinsville supports Frank Dimmocks work in health care for those,
especially orphans, with AIDS.
Liberia: Bush Hill Presbyterian is rebuilding Todee Mission School and Clinic
which has 109 students including 39 boarders. BHPC has sent 4 containers of medical &
other supplies w/financial support to help Ophelia & Carney Johnson’s mission effort.
Nigeria: Southminster PC supports mission in Nigeria.
The Global Mission Network asks all NCP churches and congregants to:
Pray on Sundays in April during worship services for the NCP churches and their
Africa/country partners, the work they are sharing in Christ’s name, and the
support and partnership in Christ that they have created together.
Include prayers for our mission partners in church prayer and Bible study groups.
Print a brief request for prayers in the weekly Sunday bulletin or announcements;
include a request for prayers in the church prayer list.
