Road & Bridge
Supervisor’s report – Schmidt gave the following report
   1. He called Mary at Cass County Sentence to Service work. The township should call her after the
signs are delivered and schedule their help.
   2. Ziegler did the PMI on the township tractor; two items were noted:
 Very slight leak in the front power take off hydraulic motor. The leak may stop as it is
                used.
 The boom sags when parked. There is some leakage in a line valve and Ziegler is
                checking what the fix is.
   3. Work Orders. MOTION: Adelmann/passed: approve the work orders as presented. A list of
the work orders are attached to the original minutes of the meeting. Note: Felton has
permission to put gravel where he thinks it is needed the most, but he is not to exceed the
approved amount for road graveling of $12,203. The unapproved work order from last year on
¼ mile of clearing on South Little Boy Drive was tabled until the quote for the work comes in.
   4. Schmidt spoke to Jim Ballenthin of Ponto Lake Township about their road right-of-way and road
maintenance standard. Schmidt handed out copies of the information that Ballenthin had
shared. The board decided to study this information and put it on the agenda for next month.
Schmidt will contact Arro Surveyors in Walker and obtain a price from that company doing the
        work.
   5. Schmidt reported that there are 2 signs on Island View (Watch for children). The township
stated in the township newsletter that these signs will be taken down. If the residents wanted
them up they should have let the board know. We have had no response. The Board asked
Schmidt to talk to the people by the signs to see if they would like the signs back.

    6. Posts for the road sign. Schmidt had a piece of post material that we can use to test the road
