Perhaps the most relevant dimension we can use to make a comparison between the
values of contracts in countries with very different level of prices is to express the
value not in currency but in how many hours of work a certain contract allows. A
contract of US$1,000 may pay less than a one-week working time in a country and
may be a one-year working-time in another one, as the prices systems might be so
different. In spite of the fact that the working time is directly related only to the cost of
salaries, it is indirectly related to many other costs covered by the value of a contract,
and so it allows us to get an image about how big a contract is.

In order to make possible for you to assess the values of contracts I have obtained as
principal investigator, I am going to specify to each of them how many Full Time
Equivalent (F.T.E., one person working full time) years the contract has allowed for
the involved team. For instance a F.T.E. for 4 years contract allows to one person to
work four years, or to four persons to work one year.

If I have contributed to a contract without being the principal investigator, only its topic
is relevant for my activity, and I mention the topic, but I consider that the value of
contract is irrelevant for my activity, so I don't specify it.
