									This Personal Property Policy sets forth a company's policy on personal property at the
workplace. The policy cautions employees not to bring valuables or large amounts of
cash to work. It further states that the company is not responsible for personal property
that is lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed, including vehicles. Employees are
responsible for providing their own locking devices for their personal property. This
document may be customized to reflect a company's specific policy. It should be used
by a company's human resources department and included in the employee handbook.

POLICY:
All employees are cautioned not to bring valuables or large amounts of cash to work. Purses and
wallets should be kept on the employee’s person or stored in a locked place at all time. The
Company is not responsible for personal property that is lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed; this
includes personal vehicles or other means of transportation. If an employee rides a bicycle to
work, he/she is responsible to securely lock it in the designated space. Employees are
responsible for providing their own locking devices.
