Well thought out and intelligent energy saving can not only be useful to the welfare of world, but useful in holistic health promotion. 1. Switch off the mains while leaving the house as sometimes acidents occur due to elctric iron, geyser etc in spite of auto stop arrangements. 2. Switch off the computers when leaving the working place sothat radiation dose can be beneficially reduced. Switch off the television sets and neon signs in public places as they can distracting [and hence harmful] to the drivers 3. Switch off the AC in cars and other places when not required as extra use of AC can be harmful. 4. Switch off the water coolers as extra cold water can be harmful. 5. Use stair case in stead of elevators. This can reduce the chances of infections [in closed chamber of the elevator] and improve the health due to natural cardiovascular workout! 6. Walk to your office or for errands. This would save fuel and in turn electricity. Understand that this saving is not restricting your freedom, but this a way to be fair to yourself, the nature and rest of the world. Do not get obsessed by the thought of saving but discuss and popularize the idea of saving electricity and its relationship with your health and welfare of the world!
