Mission Statement

INFOSA is the Southern African Unit of INFOPECHE based in Windhoek. The
main objective of INFOSA is providing marketing information and technical
advisory services for the fisheries and aquaculture industry and serves all the 15
SADC member countries. The inter-governmental organisation was established
in 2003 and is funded by the Government of Norway and hosted by the
Government of Namibia.

INFOSA is part of the worldwide Fish Info Network which comprises seven
intergovernmental organisations, these are INFOPECHE in sub-Saharan Africa,
INFOPESCA in Latin America, INFOFISH in Asia and the Pacific, INFOYU in
China, INFOSAMAK in the Arab world, and EUROFISH in the east European
region and FAO’s GLOBEFISH service as the co-ordinating unit in Rome, Italy.

o Upon the signing of an annual membership contract, INFOSA’s associate
  members are entitled to a wide range of benefits, these include:

o Free subscription to the full net Package which includes INFOSA Trade
  News, Globefish Highlights, Directory of Fish Importers and Exporters, Fish
  Inspector and the European Price Report.

o When putting advertising inserts in the Directory of Fish Importers and
  Exporters, Africa’s Fish Industry magazine, Associate members will get
  special discount of 50% on advertisement fees;

o 50% discount on the participation fee to seminars, buyer-seller meetings and
  Conference/workshops organized by INFOSA;

o Free advertisement in the announcement section of INFOSA website;

o Free publication of company profile in Africa Fish Industry Magazine
  (published annually;

    statistics, articles etc;

o On request or according to the need of the associate member, INFOSA can
  undertake studies on specific fish species, products or markets.
