YOUNG ENTERPRISE SCHEME
This course is available to senior secondary students who are interested in starting and running
their own enterprise. It has a business focus and involves being part of a Lion Foundation
Young Enterprise company, which students set up and run as an enterprise throughout the
year.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS?
There are no prerequisites for this course, however low effort grades on the previous year’s
report may compromise a student’s ability to succeed.
WHAT COULD THIS SUBJECT LEAD TO?
Young Enterprise Certificate.
The Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme has 24 credit equivalents at Level 3. Students
will have to meet course requirements and pass a 1½ hour exam to be eligible for the 24 credit
equivalents and this qualifies them for the Young Enterprise Certificate. The Young Enterprise
Certificate qualifies for University Entrance Ad addendum stratum.
HOW IS THIS COURSE ASSESSED?
1307 Present ideas and information orally to a specified audience in a predictable situation.
6403 Produce preliminary assessments of small business enterprise opportunities.
9705 Give and receive feedback.
9679 Participate in formal meetings.

Company Registration Fee $50 per company
Company Tax: 25% on Net Profit
