Recovery backups of existing control systems on the Bradford plant and other plants
including Cardiff, Manchester and Glasgow.

Working on Project Mariner for Princes Soft Drinks. Duties include,
modification/Improvement of PLC control systems on Mercury Syrup Room at
Bradford plant with changes also being made to the Cube Track Application
(SCADA). Where an extra exit valve for each bulk tank has been added and

interlocking of product entry valves, while batch is in a mix complete state or has
been passed from the lab.

January 2003 to Present
Working on a project to improve the Line D7 Pasturiser modifying the Siemens S7
315-2 DP controller and modifying the WinCC HMI screens.

January 2003 to Present
Working on a Visual Basic project to report on the Oracle Database to retrieve
information of Bill of Materials (BOM), any recipe additions, recipe tests and package
tests for each batch, whether archived or current.

Worked as part of a team on the Mercury Project for Princess Soft Drinks at
Bradford. My job was to code the Siemens S7 PLC interfacing to 11 laboratory
scales via ET 200 M racks with a CP 340 card and Cube Classic (Real Time
Database) via a profibus card. Controlling the delivery of a product via Orsi
International’s, Mesad MES, Cube Track and using an Oracle Database to store
archived information. Cube Track (SCADA) which uses Jam screens written in jpl
and Cube Track has a C++ development background and is made with SQL queries
on the Oracle Database. As a team we developed a system, which interfaced from
SAP down to the PLC and controlled the mixing, bottling and completion of batches
of syrup products made by princess. FDS, SSS and operator manuals were also
developed.

Software Engineer: January 2000 to February 2000
Worked on creating HTML pages for hosting Soccerdata, league tables for Micropay-
By-Net (MBN) PhoneBill, which would disconnect your normal modem line and
reconnect on a premium rate line charge at a standard rate per minute.

Worked on a Demo for a Quote for Caradon Barcode Tracking Project using `Visual
Basic`, `Java Scripting` and `html` allowing storing, retrieving and viewing of data
from a database, including Production scheduling, On-line analysis, Management &
production analysis reports etc…

Worked on a Quote for WAMAC Year 2000 compliant upgrade for British Nuclear
Fuels. Labour & Equipment costs of upgrading a VAX VMS system onto a Window
NT Machine with an Oracle Database.

Software Engineer: August 1999 to September 1999
Worked on modifying a fuel storage & distribution system project for Lubrizol,
involving an intouch SCADA and an Allen Bradley PLC 5.

Work as project management for Core Telecommunications installing a new 3-phase
generator backup system and upgrading the uninteruptable DC power supplies to
the core switch.

Worked as part of the Commissioning Engineer Software Support on the Waste
Vitrification Plant Line 3: Mechanical Handling System for British Nuclear Fuels at
Sellafield. Fault Observations (FOBs) are raised by BNFL Commissioning Teams
and a SCR is raised for the software support team to assess changes to be made on
software and documentation. Marked up copies of the `As Built` CONCISE were
issued from BNFL Risley, then implementation of the changes required from the
SCR were done on the software and any relevant documentation updated under the
Quality Assurance of BNFL Procedures.

Junior Software Engineer: November 1996 to August 1998
Worked as part of the Control Information Management (CIM) department on the
Waste Vitrification Plant Line 3: Mechanical Handling System for British Nuclear
Fuels. It was a control system comprising of 39 Modicon PLCs (Quantum 42402,
21304, Compact 984-A145 and 985-E255) and 62 Panelmate 2000 greyscale units
which were named Local Operator Interfaces (LOI) which all communicate over a
Modbus Plus Network. S-S Technologies PICS Simulation Software was used for the
plant interface to facilitate factory testing. SSS and operator manuals were also
developed.

A development of a standard software library was used for the project to allow ease
of software development and maintenance owing to the generic software
specifications, coding standards, system maintenance manual, operator manuals
and through to `As Built` documentation. This system was interfaced to the Wet
Process Control System, which was done by ABB and controls container tracking
and reporting operational and product quality data.

Junior Software Engineer: May 1997 to June 1997
Worked on the Effluent Plant for Emhart Tucker Fasteners which was a Mitsubishi
A1 PLC linked via a modbus connection to a PC with FIX 32 HMI SCADA system,
also linked to the FIX via a modbus connection was two eurotherm units for trending.
This system was internally factory tested and customer factory tested and site
commissioned. SSS and an operator manual were also developed.

Synchronisation of the Group 200 PLC with the Wet Process Control System which
was done by ABB. This was first assessed then implemented and tested, then the
documents were updated.

Worked as part a soak testing team on the North West Water Autosampling System,
which had a number of gantry robots and conveyer system. The control of the robots
was under a UNIX environment and the system was controlled on a Data Highway
Network, by five Allen Bradley PLCs. This work was 12-hour nights and as a team
we were soak testing the machines.
