Applicant Tracking System ensures management of the business



“An applicant tracking system (ATS) is a software application, which helps different

organizations and agencies to meet the electronic handling of the recruitment needs.”



An ATS can also be implemented on in enterprise or small business organizations as per their

requirements. ATS systems are same as the customer relationship management systems; the only

difference is that these systems are designed for keeping a track record of the recruitment process.



In many organizations and corporations, applicant tracking systems are installed to manage resume

data and handle the job applications. On the enterprise level, the ATS is offered as a module or

functional addition to human resources suite or Human Resource Information System (HRIS). This

The main function of this system is to offer database and a central location for a company's

recruitment efforts. ATS are designed and developed to ensure better assist management of resumes

and application information. The data is either collected from internal applications through the ATS

front-end that is located on the company website or is extracted from applicants on job boards. The

majority of job and resume boards like Monster, Hotjobs, Career Builder have partnerships with ATS

software providers to install parsing support and ease of data migration from one system to another.

Modern ATS systems allow applicants to be sourced from the company's own database of past job

applicants.



An ATS can also be used to post the job openings on a corporate web site or job board, screen

resumes, and generate interview requests to potential candidates by e-mail. Some of the other
