RE: New Air Service at ECRA

Contact: Tom Santulli, Chemung County Executive @ 737-2912

Ann Clarke, Elmira Corning Regional Airport Manager at 795-0402

Big Flats – Chemung County Executive Tom Santulli joined airport officials in

announcing Pan Am Clipper Connection will be adding service to the Elmira Corning

Regional Airport beginning September 6th. The announcement was made today at a press

conference held at the Elmira Corning Regional Airport.

The Pam Am Clipper Connection will provide six daily non-stop flights; two each to

Bedford, Massachusetts serving the Boston area, Trenton, New Jersey serving New York

City and Philadelphia, and Baltimore/Washington D.C. Pam Am utilizes smaller regional

airports, like the Elmira Corning Regional Airport as portals to urban centers. By using

convenient ground transportation, passengers can access these metropolitan areas without

the hassles associated with large hub airports.

Tom Santulli, Chemung County Executive said, “Securing an airline which provides easy

access to New York, Boston, and the D.C. area has always been one our top priorities.

We are pleased to be able to provide this added service to the business and pleasure

travelers in our area. Pam Am Clipper offers non-stop service to these desired

destinations at competitive fares.”

Ann Clarke, Elmira Corning Regional Airport Manager added, “We are absolutely

thrilled to be entering into this partnership with Pam Am Clipper to re-introduce an

aspect of air service the Airport has not been able to offer our passengers in several years;

direct, non-stop service to major east coast urban areas. We sincerely hope that

passengers will find this service an advantage to using the Elmira Corning Regional

Airport.”

The Pam Am Clipper Connection, operated by Boston-Maine Airways Corporation is

based in Portsmouth, NH. They began commuter air service in March of 2004 serving

three airports in the Northeast. Pam Am currently serves eight airports including service

to Puerto Rico and Orlando. Service to Baltimore/Washington D.C. is also being added

in September. Additional destinations out of Elmira may be added in the future

To celebrate its expansion to Elmira Corning Regional Airport, Pan Am Clipper is

offering introductory sale fares as low as $99 each way. Sale fares must be purchased by

September 30. Everyday fares may vary, but are targeted to be $150 or less each way.

Pan Am Clippers offers its own frequent traveler program, the Clipper Convenience

Travel Program. Geared to business travelers, this program offers benefits not usually

associated with frequent flyer programs such as transferable tickets, unlimited itinerary

changes without service charges, no travel restrictions or black-out dates, and fixed fares

regardless of reservation time. For information and reservations call 1-800-FLYPANAM

or www.flypanam.com.
