Affordable Technology Training for
California Community College Faculty and Staff

Wednesday, June 2 – Friday, June 4 9:30 – 3:30
Join us for a multi-day intensive hands-on technology workshop, where you will have the
chance to apply concepts directly to one of your own projects and share experiences with
your peers. Workshops are taught by expert faculty, designed with Community College
needs in mind, and include resources to extend your learning experience.
The Summer Institute, including meals and materials, costs just $50. One
academic credit is available through Fresno Pacific University for an additional $46. Choose
one of the following four workshops:
Workshop I: Introduction to Computers and Microsoft Office for
Educators – increase your confidence with Windows-based computers and
master fundamental skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint that are useful
for teaching.
Workshop II: Mastering Digital Photography – Find out how to take crisp,
clear photos, alter them in Adobe Photoshop, and use your images in websites,
PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, and handouts.
Workshop III: Implementing and Supporting Microsoft Windows XP
(Microsoft Course 2272)

Learn how to automate installation, configure hardware, use profiles to control
desktop customization, and support remote users.
Workshop IV: Managing a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment
(Microsoft Course 2274)
**special 5 day course from Tues., June 1 – Sat., June 5 , 9:00 – 4:00
Discover how to manage accounts, access to network resources, printers, Active
Directory, and Group Policy.
