Possible Side Effects
! Nausea and vomiting
! Diarrhea
! Asthenia (generalized weakness and feeling poorly)
! Decreased appetite
! Constipation
! Lowered blood counts:
" Drop in white blood cell count (WBC)
- Increased chance of infection.
- Avoid people with colds, flu, etc.
- Report temperature of 100.5 degrees, chills, sweats, or any symptoms of infection, such as burning
on urination, cough, etc. to your doctor.
- Maintain good skin and oral hygiene.
" Drop in platelets
- May bruise or bleed more easily.
- Notify your doctor of any unusual bleeding.
- Do not take aspirin. (Tylenol is okay)
" Drop in red blood cell count (RBC)
- May notice fatigue.
! Shortness of breath
! Peripheral neuropathy (nerve damage)
! Fever
! Headache
! Insomnia (lack of sleep)
! Myalgias (muscle aches) and/or arthralgias (bone aches)
! Edema (fluid retention)
! Dizziness
! Rash
! Hypotension (low blood pressure)
! Shaking chills
! Pruritus (itching)
! Blurry vision
