It's not just the big publishing companies flocking to Apple's new device, the small guys want in too.
Venturebeat reports on a small self-publishing company called Smashwords is working to ready their e-books for
iPad distribution.
This method of distribution is great for aspiring authors that want to sell their books on the iBook store because
Apple is only offering this service to publishers.
In order to have your content on the iBook store by launch day (April 3), you'll need to have your content
submitted to the premium content section of Smashwords by March 31.
The post also mentions that Apple requires ISBN numbers for books (which Smashwords will be providing). Also
mentioned is that Apple is requiring all of the book prices to end in $.99. So books could be sold for $.99, $1.99,
etc.
