Sherbet Smoothies

Recipe By: Strained Peas!



2 pints lemon sherbet, softened

1 ½ c. cold milk

2 c. frozen peaches or raspberries



In blender or food processor, combine all ingredients.

Blend until smooth. Serve immediately in chilled

glasses.

Tropical Smoothie

1 ripe mango peeled, pitted and diced

1 medium ripe papaya peeled and diced

1 kiwi fruit peeled and diced

1 banana peeled and diced

1 cup low fat plain or vanilla yogurt



Combine fruits in blender. Add yogurt and blend till thick.

May add powdered cloves before serving for a more

exotic flavor.

Can make smoothie thinner by using one half cup low fat

milk and a half cup yogurt.

Can use other fruits in various proportions, just adjust

quantity of liquid.

Can also smoothen mix with addition of crushed ice.

Fruit Smoothie

2 cups crushed ice

1 ½ cups fresh fruit

1 cup non-fat vanilla yogurt

1 teaspoon powdered milk



Put all ingredients in a blender and blend together

until smooth.

Serve.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Twist

Shake

1 ounce chocolate chips

1 ounce peanut butter

4 ounces coconut juice or milk

6 ounces vanilla ice cream

2 curls shaved chocolate

½ ounce crushed roasted peanuts



Whip all ingredients together in blender until

smooth.

Garnish with shaved chocolate and crushed

roasted peanuts.

Frosty Banana Shake

1 banana

1 cup milk

3 to 4 scoops vanilla ice cream

1 tablespoon vanilla extract



Puree banana in blender; add in remaining

ingredients

Process until just mixed.

Low-Fat Maple Blue

1 c. low-fat blueberry yogurt

¾ c. low-fat milk

1 tablespoon maple syrup

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 c. fresh blueberries, frozen



Combine yogurt, milk, syrup and cinnamon in a

blender.

Add the blueberries and puree until smooth. Makes

2 servings

Bananas Smoothie

Here’s a basic smoothie recipe which you can flavor with 2-

3 handfuls of any chosen fruit.

1 banana

2-3 large handfuls of your chosen fruit

approx 1 pint glass of ice

285 ml / ½ pint single cream



Place the banana and your chosen fruit into a liquidizer and

whiz for 30 seconds.

Add the ice and cream.

Place the lid back on tightly and pulse the liquidizer a

couple of times on and off to break up the larger pieces

of ice, before whizzing up to a semi-slushy milk shake

consistency.

Cranberry Raspberry Smoothie

1 cup vanilla soymilk

½ large banana

2 Tbsp frozen cranberry juice concentrate

(undiluted)

¼ cup frozen raspberries



Place all ingredients in blender and puree until

smooth.

Serve immediately or refrigerate. Serving size: 1 ½

cups

Mango Tango Smoothie

½ cups mango, peeled and diced

½ cups plain nonfat yogurt

crushed ice

Sprig of fresh mint for garnish



Place mango, yogurt and ice in a blender or food

processor and whirl away.

Pour into glass and garnish with a mint sprig if

desired.

Creamy Strawberry Smoothie

1 cup strawberries

½ cup ice – crushed

¼ cup orange juice

1 tablespoon vanilla pudding mix

¼ cup powdered milk



Combine all ingredients in blender; blend until

smooth.

Strawberry-Banana Yogurt

Smoothie

1 cup fresh strawberries or individually frozen

strawberries, - slightly thawed

1 medium banana, cut up

½ cup milk

1 (8-ounce) container low-fat strawberry yogurt



In blender container, combine all ingredients.

Cover, blend at medium speed 30-60 seconds or

until smooth.

Serve Immediately. Serves: 2 (1 ¼ cup) servings.

Lemon Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie

1 cup non-fat vanilla yogurt

½ cup orange juice

1 ½ cup strawberries

½ cup crushed ice

1 tablespoon lemon juice

½ teaspoon lemon zest



Combine all in blender until smooth

Low-Fat Orange Smoothie

4 c. non-fat vanilla frozen yogurt

3 c. low-fat milk

1 c. frozen orange juice concentrate



Combine all ingredients in a blender and process

until smooth.

Makes 4 servings.

Candy Bar Smoothie

¼ ounces chocolate sweetened

Condensed milk

1 cup vanilla ice cream

2 candy bars (your choice) – broken into pieces

2 cups crushed ice



In blender container, combine all ingredients.

Blend until smooth. Serve immediately

Place a couple scoops of ice cream into a glass

World Famous Strawberry-

Banana Milk Shake

2 tbsp. strawberry preserves

2/3 c. milk



Mix vanilla ice cream, banana, preserves,

and milk in blender until smooth.

Place milk, HERSHEY'S CLASSIC CARAMELS

Cover and blend until smooth and thick.

Serve immediately.

Makes 2 large servings
