Cosentino USA Buys Super Bowl Spot

NEW YORK Cosentino USA, a Houston-based producer of Silestone natural quartz
surfacing, has purchased a 30-second spot in the Feb. 6 Super Bowl telecast on Fox. It is
the first company of its kind to advertise in the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl ad will kick
off the company's first national TV ad campaign.
The spot was created and produced by Freed Advertising and features former National
Basketball Association star Dennis Rodman relaxing in a natural quartz surfaced bath
tub. Other athletes who appear in the spot include former Chicago Bears coach Mike
Ditka and former Super Bowl champion Bears Jim McMahon and William "Refrigerator"
Perry.
Fox has sold about 53 of the 58 in-game Super Bowl spots, with the going price being
$2.4 million each. That sellout level is slightly ahead of where last year's Super Bowl
televiser, CBS, was at this same point.
