Paul Ryan BComm, DPA, MBS, PhD, FCA
Paul Ryan is currently Director of Education in the Institute of Bankers in Ireland. Prior
to taking up this role in September, 2007 he was a senior lecturer in finance at the UCD
Michael Smurfit School of Business. He has lectured extensively across a broad range of
undergraduate, postgraduate and professional courses in finance. He has published
extensively in international academic and professional journals including, Journal of
Business Finance & Accounting, British Accounting Review, Professional Investor, as
well as being widely reported in the financial press, including the Financial Times. Prior
to joining UCD in 1990 he trained and qualified as a chartered accountant with
PricewaterhouseCoopers.
