Complete Plant

Animal Feed Mill for Sale, Lease or Rent.

UCPE -4356 Complete animal feed mill located on Notts/Lincs border and available for sale, lease or rental Price: £0

with various adjacent storage buildings and other on site facilities. The mill was producing up to

700 tonnes per week of poultry meal and was built originally in the late 70s but has been added to

over the years. All the raw materials are blown into the silos, there is no lorry tipping intake

although this could be added. There is no pelleting equipment, however there is room to add this if

required. There are 4 No raw material silos outside and 5 No inside totalling around 350 tonnes.

The plant has 4 No oil storage tanks some have electric trace heating. All the finished products

were bulk dispatched so there are no bagging facilities although a bagging plant could be added.

There are 7 No bulk outloading hoppers 6 No 25 tonnes each and one large unit sub divided into 9

No 25 tonne sections. The milling process is automated apart from the addition of some

concentrates which are hand tipped from bags. The mill operates on a double dump process

weighing grindable materials and directing them to a 90 kw hammermill and then weighing non

grindables and sending them directly to a 2 tonne three tier mixer where they meet up with the

material from the hammermill and any hand tipped additives. Oils are quantified by flowmeters and

are pumped directly into the mixer. The mixed meals are sent from the mixer directly to one of the

bulk outloading hoppers. There is a control room for plant operation and a compressor to supply

electro pnuematic valves and the reversejet filter that exhausts the hammermill. The mill has a 50

tonne weighbridge and a spacious brick built weighbridge office and canteen. There are two

timber clad buildings available for storage. These were deep pit poultry sheds so have a ground

floor and partial first floor. The sheds are 70 metres x 13 metres x 7 metres to the eaves. The

ground floor is 3 metres high and the first floor 3 metres high. There are shared toilet, washing

and shower facilities on site. Monthly rental in the region of £2500. Available from 01/04/11.

UCPE -4026 Bagging line built about 2002 comprising a Richard Simon belt fed automatic electronic bag Price: £16500

weigher with underhopper and electro pneumatic birds beak bag holder. The weigher has a

Computapak 2 control system and a weighment range of 5 - 25kg. The weigher is fed by a

Walthambury bag placer with bag magazine which will work with plastic or paper bags. The filled

bags are sent to a Walthambury bag closing and stitching line model WJM 877E. The stitcher is

on an adjustable support with a 200 mm slatted plastic conveyor about 4.0 metres long.

Bagging Line 8

UCPE -4443 Complete bagging line to operate at up to 600 bags per hour. The line comprises a belt fed Price: £45000

Richard Simon HSP mechanical net bag weigher to weigh from 15 - 50kg. The weigher has a

birds beak bag clamp to work with a Richard Simon Mk3 automatic bag placer with manual bag

magazine. The bag placer will work with paper or plastic bags or lined polypropylene bags. Filled

bags drop onto a slatted bag conveyor and through a Richard Simon bag aligner and closer and

then through a Medway stitcher on an adjustable column. The bags pass through a bag turner

and drop onto a vibrating conveyor to flatten the filled bags. The bags then pass into an FTH low

level palletiser with a pallet magazine and Siemens control system. The palletiser will accept a

range of pallet sizes and can be programmed for several bag formations and layers. The line is

believed to be early 90s vintage.

Briquetting Plant

UCPE -4628 New Air briquetting plant designed for straw but currently processing hardwood sawdust using Price: £25000

part of the plant only. The plant was built late 1980's, I am told, and was processing straw for a few

years. It was then redundant for about 15 years until acquired a few years ago by the current

owner who uses the sawdust bunker, briquetter and cooling line only to produce hardwood

briquettes at up to 350kg per hour using 12% moisture content material. The section of the plant

currently in use has had a recent £8000 rebuild with new hydraulics and upgraded control system.

It has done about 5 hours work since the rebuild. The unused parts of the plant have been partly

refurbished and painted but there is still work to be done by the new owner. The plant in its straw

processing role comprises an enclosed whole bale bunker with chain and slat base and a serrated

shredding drum. The shredded straw passes onto an enclosed belt conveyor which passes the

material to a chopper fan/hammermill with a screen in it to size the material. The chopper fan is

belt driven with a motor that looks to be about 15kw. The chopped product is conveyed

pneumatically to a 5.0 cubic metre circular storage bunker with a sweep arm discharger in the

base. The bunker has vertical dust socks above it that are shaken intermittently to aid cleaning.

Below the bunker is a Bavaria BF500/VH briquetting press with a 15kw motor. This is a piston

press with a variable speed feeder, vertical screw, hydraulic die pressure system, water cooled

50mm die and upgraded control system. The briquette stream passes along a cooling line where

they break into random lengths as they fall into a big bag.

Defatted Milk Powder Plant

UCPE -3331 R Simon Dryers rotary cylinder drying plant for defatted milk powder. This plant was built in 1983 Price: £50000

but did only 4 weeks work. It is still in situ but it will be dismantled and removed by the owner. The

plant comprises a D110 double cylinder drum dryer and an S110 single drum unit. Each drum is

2.0 metres diameter x 4.0 metres long and is chrome plated. The plant comes complete with

drives, gearboxes, roll scrapers, knife scrapers, support bars, discharge conveyors, slurry feed

system, jet cooker and control panel. The plant is in good condition and is located in the EU but

not in the UK.

Pet Food Blending Plant

UCPE -4246 Complete continuous flow volumetric pet food blending plant comprising :- 9 No product inputs Price: £40000

four from tote bins via vibrating tube feeders, one for micro ingredients via a screw feeder and four

from bulk silos via screw conveyors. The ingredients are blended onto a large belt conveyor up an

elevator and over a screen to remove small particles and dust. The blended product goes up a

second elevator to one of two hoppers above the packing line. The packing line comprises a belt

fed T A Shore electronic bag weigher to weigh from 5 - 25 kg followed by a Saxon 10 heat sealer

with bag conveyor and a Goring Kerr metal detector.

Straw Briquetting Plant

UCPE -3824 Complete straw briquetting plant by New Air comprising a bale bunker with breaker/chopper. The Price: £35000

bunker will accept a range of bale sizes including big bales and round bales. The chopped straw

is conveyed to an 18.5 kw hammermill then into a 5.5 kw fan that transports the milled straw to a

straw silo with a sweep arm discharger. The silo has a working volume of about 5 cubic metres

and a set of vertical dust socks to dissipate the air from the transport fan. The socks are supported

on a frame with a vibrating motor that shakes the dust out of the socks intermittently. The straw

silo feeds a Bavaria BP500 piston briquetting machine with a 15 kw motor, variable speed feeder,

motorised vertical screw press and motorised die pressure adjustment. It has a full set of sensors

and controls to automate production. The die is 50 mm diameter and is water cooled. The

briquette stream is forced along a cooling conveyor and up to a finished product hopper. The

continuous stream breaks into smaller pieces as it exits the conveyor and falls into the hopper. The

hopper has a vibrating discharge tray feeder with a perforated base which sieves out the fines as

the briquettes are being bagged. Output up to 250 kg per hour of briquettes. The plant requires

dry straw at around 15% moisture content. This plant may be around 30 years old but has done

little work and can still be supported by New Air.

Bale Palletiser

Reference Description

UCPE -2540 Pieri/Verbruggan collator and film wrapper for small polythene wrapped bales. The £ 70000

collator section forms a block of 12 bales and ejects them to a rotating head film

wrapper. This block is moved along a powered roller trackand parked on a section of

belt conveyor. A second block of similarly wrapped bales is parked on an adjacent

section of belt conveyor. The two packs are folded into a block of 24 bales by raising

the two belt conveyor sections. The block is then moved to a top sheeter and

turntable wrapper. The block of 24 bales is then lifted onto a pallet and ejected onto

a gravity roller track. The whole unit is about 18 metres long x 3.0 metres wide and

3.0 metres high and it has all controls and sensors and is surrounded by a security

barrier. It is capable of 1000 packs per hour and has done very little work. The

machine is now dismantled and in store.

Shavings or Straw Balers

used as a bunker/live bin. This machine was built in 1995 and has an intermediate

deck but is not lagged.

UCPE -4377 Klockner KC 260.5 S five deck rotary pellet cooler with a lot of the plates missing. £ 5000

No fan or cyclone. Could be converted to a bunker feeder with sweep arm discharge.

Volume thought to be around 12 cubic metres.

UCPE -4614 Unused and unassembled 20 cubic metre circular bunker feeder for sawdust or other £ 3000

non free flowing products. It is 3.0 metres diameter x 3.0 metres deep with a flat

bottom and flat top. The central drive shaft, motor and gearbox are missing but the

rotating discharge arm is available. It has handrails to go around the top and an inlet

cyclone.

Walking Floor

with purpose made plywood top. The container has been converted to a self

emptying bunker by the addition of a reciprocating push floor but the hydraulic rams

and powerpack are missing. The container has a volume of about 75 cubic metres

UCPE -4493 Push floor bunker feeder, no rams or hydralic powerpack. The bunker is 10.2 metres £ 2500

long x 3.4 metres wide x 3.3 metres high. The storage section is about 6.0M x 3.0M x

3.0M giving a working volume of 54 cubic metres.

UCPE -4496 Push floor type unloader with an open area of about 6.0 metres x 3.0 metres. This £ 12500

unit can be floor mounted in a concrete bunker or in steelwork above ground. There

are two hydraulically powered moving modules with rams and a two motor

powerpack. There is a discharge hopper and a heavy duty screw conveyor as part of

this unit. The screw conveyor is 400 mm diameter x 3.85 metres long with reduced

pitch flight, a 2.8 metre inlet section and a 2.2kw drive. Believed to have been built

by Nazzareno in 2008 and never used. It was designed to move 5tph of wet

woodchip.

Picking Table

Reference Description

UCPE -3804 Large belt elevator and screening system in four sections. There is a receiving £ 25000

hopper for filling with a power shovel. This section is 4.0 metres long and has a 1.0

metre wide smooth slightly troughed belt with a spring mounted impact plate below

it. The second stage is 8.0 metres long and has a 1.0 metre wide smooth troughed

belt which rises to 4.0 metres high. On the discharge end of this conveyor there is a

1.5 metre wide x 2.2 metre long vibrating finger screen with seven rows of fingers

with about 6.0 mm spacing. The overs from the screen fall onto a picking table

which has a receiving hopper on the inclined 3.0 metre long section followed by a 4.2

metre long four station picking table with walkways, handrails and canvas top cover.

The belt is chevron type 1.0 metre wide. The finger screen and picking table have

hydraulic motors and a 15kw power pack. The main conveyors have electric motors.

The unit was built in 1991.

UCPE -4509 Tickhill Engineering conveyor probably for vegetable sorting or washing. It is 9.0 £ 750

metres long and has a 900 mm wide plastic mesh belt with cleats. Not in good order.

Reference Description

UCPE -3859 Dantherm NFK 2000 dust collector model 6 + 2 HJLR built in 1996. It has 7 No 1.1 £ 15000

kw axial regeneration fans and 2 No 45 kw centrifugal fans in galvanised acoustic

enclosures to handle the dust laden air. There is a third 37 kw centrifugal fan in a

galvanised acoustic enclosure probably to transport the dust from the filter to a silo.

The filter is for outdoor use and is a galvanised enclosure with conveyor discharge

into a rotary valve. The filter enclosure is on supporting steelwork and the overall

dimensions excluding fans is 10.8 metres long x 2.4 metres wide x 5.0 metres high.

It needs to have a shut down period for the regeneration fans to perform a full bag

cleaning operation, the frequency depends on dust burden, may only be once in 24

hours. Believed to have 350 cylindrical bags with a total area of 5,600 square feet to

handle 35,000 cfm. Air on bag speed 6.25 fpm.

Reversejet Filters

Reference Description

UCPE -2808 DCE Dalamatic insertable reversejet filter type DLM V10/10F3. This unit is top entry £ 500

and has a 2.2kw fan. There appears to be only six out of the ten bag inserts with the

filter and they are each only 700 mm long. They need to be 1000 mm long for it to

be a 10 square metre filter. The control box has been gutted.

UCPE -3434 Reversejet filter (probably Airmaster) with fan and explosion relief panel mounted on £ 1500

support frame with underhopper. It looks to have about 40 square metres of filter

area.

UCPE -4426 Dantherm MJB 7S 36 reversejet filter built 2006. It has a 1.1 kw fan and wil operate £ 1500

up to 160 degrees C. The filter has 18 Nomex bags giving 7 square metres of filter

area and the fan will deliver 400 cubic metres per hour at 300 mm wg.

UCPE -4542 DCE model DU20 RF6 reversejet filter on framework with underhopper and rotary £ 2500

valve. This filter has a 4kw fan and a pressure guage.

UCPE -4559 Reversejet filter in circular case with supporting steelwork, underhopper, rotary valve £ 500

and explosion panel. It is 1.35 metres diameter x 3.5 metres high. The product entry

is tangential at the bottom of the barrel and the bags are tubular and 1.0 metre

long. I estimate the filter area to be around 20 square metres. There is no fan. Need

some repair and new bags.

there are a number on site but I am not sure which one belongs to this unit but it is

offered complete with belt and buckets.

steel boot and buckets. The case is 580 mm wide inside but it only has 375 mm

buckets in it. This elevator has been removed but it is still assembled apart from the

drive which was for mounting independantly of the elevator.

an elevator. It has a 500 mm wide chevron belt 3.7 metres long and a 0.75kw three

phase drive. The elevator has a 1200 mm x 700 mm receiving hopper and a discharge

height of 1.6 metres. Functional but not very pretty.

UCPE -4163 Prelude lorry tipping chevron belt elevator rated at 50 tph on dry wheat. It has a 2.8 £ 5500

metre wide receiving hopper, a 600 mm wide belt 5.3 metres long and a discharge

height of 2.0 metres. The belt is covered and there is a cover for the hopper. It has

caster wheels and adjustable height.

Expander

Reference Description

UCPE -4442 Almex Contivar Expander model AL300. Built 1991 but not used in past 10 years. This £ 9500

machine was working between a Paladin 2000 pellet press and a K30 conditioner.

The expander discharge was controlled by an adjustable cone. There is a cooler for

the gearbox oil and the expander is vee belt driven by a 200kw motor with a fluid

coupling.

Extruders

Reference Description

diesel burner fitted, max output 1,300,000 BTU (380kw). There is a control panel for

controlling four units for drying malt. The panel can be included if all four fans are

purchased together.

UCPE -4590 Lister diesel powered grain drying fan on wheeled chassis. This has a four cylinder £ 275

diesel engine driving a 1.2 metre diameter axial fan which air cools the engine and

raises the air temperature to improve drying. The diesel lift pump is missing.

the platform aspirating the hammermill. All in good order.

UCPE -4251 Christy X26 hammermill on fabricated base with anti vibration mountings. This mill £ 6600

has a 90kw drive and feed chute but no tray feeder or magnet.

UCPE -4466 Promill twin drive swing beater hammermill with plate magnet on the inlet duct and £ 7500

37kw belt driven, top mounted aspiration fan. The two motors have been removed

but there are two spare motors on the site that appear to fit. These are 160kw x

1487 rpm. The screen is 1200 mm wide and the rotor is about 1200 mm diameter.

Screen area is about 2.5 square metres. This machine is in average condition. There

UCPE -4553 Complete milling unit comprising a 20" wide hammermill, which looks like a Miracle £ 4000

Mill, with a magnet chute, 75 hp motor a vee belt drive all on a base plate. The mill

is mounted on a 2.0 metre high frame with an underhopper, 200 mm discharge screw

and rotary valve. Next to the hammermill and aspirating the underhopper there are

two DCE model UMA 150 shaker type dust filters with 2hp fans. These work in

sequence so one can shake down whilst the other is aspirating. There is a control

panel and wiring with this unit. Overall dimesions are 3.5 metres long x 1.15 metres

wide x 4.2 metres high.

Pellet Presses

Reference Description

UCPE -3045 CPM 7000 pelleting press with base plate 2 speed gearbox, 185 kw drive, external £ 16000

motorised oil pump with filter, stainless steel door, pneumatic dump chute, die

lifting winch, automatic bearing greaser, die and rollers and a feeder. The rolls are

250 mm diameter and the die is 572 mm diameter with a 156 mm wide track. The

gearbox is in good condition. Thought to be a type 7122-2 built in 1983. Engineers

report available on gearbox condition.

UCPE -3790 Simon Barron C125 pelleting press gearbox and base plate only. £ 1500

UCPE -3807 Milltech Compress C95 pellet press on base plate with 90kw direct drive, stainless £ 3500

UCPE -4098 Swiss Combi 4/4K gearbox and front plate only. This is a Hansen type 721TS-AN-10 £ 7500

gearbox. It was reconditioned in 1997 but currently needs repair.

UCPE -4126 Orbit 175 pellet press with base and 75kw drive. £ 3500

UCPE -4451 CPM 7800 pelleting press with 7900 frontwork set up for pelleting milled wood. The £ 25000

press motor is 185kw. The die is 760mm ID and the track is 100 mm wide. There is

a 6 mm and 8 mm die with the press and a control panel.

UCPE -4525 Amandus Kahl model 39/1000 pellet press built in 2007. This press has a 200kw £ 100000

motor, vee belt drive, 4 roll head and hydraulic roll adjustment. The die is 1000mm

diameter and it is set up for making wood fuel pellets. There is an Amandus Kahl

model M315 stainless steel feed screw with the press, 315m diameter x 2.3 metres

long with drive. Output about 2.6 tph. Comes with some spares and control panel.

The press has done 3983 hours work.

UCPE -4526 CPM 7162-2 pellet press built in 1982 with 185kw direct drive, base plate, stainless £ 13000

steel door, external oil pump and filter, two speed gearbox. The press has two rolls

but no die. There is a feeder and conditioner that can be had at extra cost ref UCPE-

4527.

UCPE -4535 Buhler DPAS pellet press on base plate with 185kw motor and vee belt drive. The £ 17500

The dried product is aspirated from the drum into a stainless steel cyclone with a

top mounted fan. The discharge from the cyclone is via a twin screw discharger.

This machine could be adapted to dry other materials such as wood chip and

The dried product is aspirated into a stainless steel cyclone with a top mounted fan.

The discharge from the cyclone is via a twin screw discharger. This machine could

be adapted to dry other materials such as wood chip and sawdust. Price includes

dryer and feed trailer but the trailer is in a poor state and may be unusable.



UCPE -4175 Single pass rotary drum dryer which was used as a cooler for wood shavings. This £ 20000

drum is 12.16 metres long x 3.05 metres diameter with chain drive, steel tyres and

rollers. The single pass drum has a helical scroll and lifters to make the shavings

move down the drum. The drum is not lagged or clad. In good condition and could be

converted to a drying drum.

UCPE -4532 Single pass rotary drum dryer with trunnions and chain drive. The drum has an £ 8500

internal diameter of 1.83 metres and is 9.18 metres long. The drum is lagged and

clad.

UCPE -4621 Rotary drum dryer 1.83 meters diameter x 8.5 metres long with riding rings and £ 20000

trunnions all mounted on a base frame with drum angle adjustment. There are two

refactory lined furnaces and an unused Ecoflame diesel/light oil burner. The drum is

driven by friction via a geared drive with two pneumatic tyres on it. There is an

infeed belt conveyor but no fan or cyclone. This dryer was drying limestone at an

asphalt plant. It is a single pass drum with no lagging or cladding and the burner will

operate from 80,000 BTU (230 kw) up to 2,000,000 BTU (586 kw).

Triple Pass

Reference Description

UCPE -4084 Refractory lined furnace with a 20,000,000 BTU Hamworty heavy oil burner and in-line £ 5000

oil heater. It also has a Hamworthy SO 4 light oil burner. This was fitted to a 5 tph

UCPE -4498 Bruks Klockner model BS4 gyratory sieve built in 2001. It appears to be a two deck £ 3500

machine but has no meshes fitted but there are some available on site. Top deck

area is about 2.3 metres x 3.2 metres and the bottom deck is about 2.3 metres x 2.3

metres. It has three outlets, a drive unit and suspension cables.

UCPE -4524 Texpan three deck gyratory screener with a selection of screen meshes. This £ 20000

appears to be a three deck machine which is totally enclosed. It is 7.8 metres long x

3.6 metres wide x 3.35 metres to the inlet. The main body with sieves is 2.5 metres

wide x 6.5 metres long giving a single screen deck area of about 16 square metres.

The drive motor looks to be about 15kw.

UCPE -4355 Unit construction steel silo 3.0 metres diameter x 16.0 metres high including the £ 5000

skirted base and walk in penthouse on top. The total volume of the silo is 58 cubic

metres. It has a steep sided cone with a flanged outlet 1.83 metres diameter and

4.26 metres above base level. The outlet has a vibrating bin activator fixed to it

which does not belong to the current owner and will have to be removed unless the

new owner wants it and is prepared to pay extra for it. The silo is set up for

blowline filling and has a shaker type filter in the penthouse and some pipes on the

outside. The silo body and cone have 50 mm of lagging covered with aluminium

cladding. There are ladders, safety hoops and rest platform to provide access to the

UCPE -4452 8 No aluminium smooth wall silos with some supporting steelwork, believed to have £ 72000

been storing plastic granules. Each silo is 3.28 metres diameter and each has a

sloping top rising 600 mm with an access hatch, pressure relief valve, blowline entry

and flanged port for a dust filter (not available). Six of the silos have 13.5 metre high

vertical walls and two external stiffening rings and two have 13.0 metre vertical

walls and no stiffening rings. All silos are skirted 480 mm below the vertical wall and

have support pads and external stiffening for sitting on steelwork. The cones are

approx 60 degree, two have 250 mm diameter outlets and six have 200 mm outlets.

All the cones have facilities for compressed air fluidisers. Some have hand operated

outlet slides. In summary two silos are 16.6 metres inlet to outlet with a level full

volume of 117 cubic metres and six are 17.1 metres overall with a level full volume

of 121 cubic metres. The owner will consider selling individual silos but would prefer

them to go as a job lot with the remaining supporting steelwork.

power unit with tier 3 emissions control. The power unit is in an enclosure with

automatic inlet air cleaner. The tub is 2.9 metres at the flared top and is 1.02

metres deep. The hammermill rotor is 1.0 metre long and the discharge belt

conveyor is 762mm wide and it can stack to 6.0 metres high. The engine has done

2070 hours and the grinder has done 1896 hours only. The tub has a top cover and

the whole unit is on a towable chassis.

UCPE -4534 ERJO model 200B wood chipper built 1977 with37 kw motor and vee belt drive but no £ 2250

inlet or outlet chutes. This machine has a rotor width of 700 mm. The drum is 600

mm diameter and it has a series of teeth projecting from it. The teeth are badly

worn.

machine was built in 1999 and has done little work. It will check items up to 50kg.

UCPE -4274 Sparc Systems check weigher built in 1993. It has Ward Bekker Trendsetter 2 £ 2000

controls in stainless steel enclosure. This unit comprises three 1100 mm long

sections of 590 mm wide flat belt on rollers with the centre section on loadcells.

UCPE -2888 Chronos in-line continuous tube weigher with single load cell and electro £ 500

pneumatically actuated flap valve. It looks as if it had been working in a blowline.
